You totally had the right attitude!!!!! I probably would have reacted like that! There aren't that many people who know our art, for us it's obvious, for them no since they never paid attention to it!
i find folks like that most of the time deep down want a piece, and feel if they cant get one they can clown on it , i think you have some Awesome work!! Keep on Carving!!! Stay safe!!

That is the hard side of putting your work out there, {but usually comes from someone who could not carve their way out of a paper bag, lol , hope I made you laugh,} but you did the right thing, retail is tough, I think you do great work, everyday you grow as an artist, I have watched that, keep up the great work and the positive outlook, it only comes from insecurities that they have.
That's weird , I set out stuff last weekend and the hubby set out some tools etc, anyway I had a person say something along those lines. I kinda laughed.. but when he left I told the hubby what he had said... Hubby said what does he know, he looked at a set of sockets in a case marked metric and asked if they were standard or metric., obviously he couldn't see very well . LOL.
🤣🤣🤣 this guy came in eating his mcdonald's sandwich, no emotion , I couldn't help but laugh. He kind of reminded me of that Sheldon on that one tv show. He probably really ment what he said but it didn't hurt my feelings. Years ago I would of been hurt , but not now. I've learned to just let it go. 🤣

People like that are insecure and he likely behaves that way to knock people down which gives him a perception of being an authority. People who act like that use to irritate me until I understood they can’t help themselves
I didn't get the narcissistic vibe from him, more like that Sheldon that plays on that TV show. Not much emotion when he talked. So he probably really thought a kid did it. 🤣🤣🤣
