Yeah, The Weeknd was just coming up, not even blowing up yet, when he and Lana would boost eachother’s music. They’ve always supported eachother and I love that
lana is definitely not underground anymore. i personally feel like she gained a massive audience during the nfr era but then lost popularity and fame during chemtrails era (we all know why). this year i feel like shes made a comeback with ocean blvd and all the other music she’s put out as of right now and her little festival tours that she will be going on this year. im really proud of her and all the success she’s had!❤
Why so much hate for Chemtrails?😢 white dress is one of her best songs and its one of her most cohesive albumsI love it
yeah she’s definitely not underground anymore, the fact that she has been the second most listened to female artist worldwide on spotify proves that, she’s also above SO many popular female artists like Rihanna and Beyoncé (taylor swift is first)
She hasn't been underground since AKA Lizzy Grant, and even that was already a cult classic before Born to Die came out! She's extremely popular, but she isn't "mainstream"
We love her because she's always true to herself, and she receives the popularity she has because she is a genuinely amazing artist. No promo needed, as she's proved with her last 3 albums
@@alxgeo nothing to do with the album. more so, what went down in 2020
@@Simperwolflet's leave it at there 😭
Snow on the beach (feat. more Lana del rey) is coming this friday! can’t wait for your reaction
wait what where did you hear that?
@@livingdeadgirl5 Taylor made an announcement
Pretty decent backstory video. Theres a lot more context that is missing, such as her relationship with a 23 year old teacher at the Kent Boarding School who showed her all the music that would become her main influences. The entire Born to Die album is about that time of her life, hence the more childlike sound and vocals compared to the rest of her discography. Potentially the greatest coming of age album of all time?
Haven't had a chance to watch this. I'm stumped with uni work. I'll watch it when I get the chance and then come back to this video. I've heard that it's the most accurate doc on Lana, dude is a fan no bs.
Sons of Anarchy is my favourite tv show, I need to rewatch it too (for the third time) haha
The weeknd didnt rlly boost up lana tho bc at that time lana was way more popular than him 😭
Actually , Lana and the weeknd have always been great friends since the beginning when no one knew any of them .
The weeknd gave video games to radio stations and promoted the song and since then they always support each other's music . The weeknd was even going to be appearing on Lana's ultravioence on the song money power glory which you can find on the internet since it's leaked
i never knew that the weeknd was the one that got the ball rolling for video games, which is crazy to me since i’m a big fan of both lol but that’s really cool!
Maha Maha was originally meant to be the title track of Born To Die but got switched last minute cause she knew it was too good.
