You crafted an AK and the very first book you got next, allowed you to craft a level 2 AK. I don't think you noticed because you were talking and didn't mention it.

Bc it seems like he rushing thru from episode 1 and I have is the only 7 days gamer I watch. But this series shows nuthn and it's rushed

The missing dog was exploring the neighborhood with his friends the day before when a maniac with a machine gun murdered them all for no reason.
Missed a safe in the last building, just before the mines went off
He also missed a desk (books!) right as he was saying he had to be selective with what he looted. And that safe was a gun safe, much better than desk/wall safes. I think one reason they nerfed quest rewards was to get people to loot the places they quest at instead of just flying through them and relying solely on trader rewards.
Go loot book stores, for books, that should help, it’s better if you get a quest, and double dip on the whole thing, I definitely won’t be mad
You should salvage the beds for the cloth and iron. You will need a TON of cloth. Springs are also good for making grenades and just for the iron.
When doing missons for the trader, if you go through the misson area and get the loot you want from the poi. You can then reset the poi by activating the missons and loot the mission area again.
Kage, you should utilize the inventory lock feature. They made it in official to lock the first chosen inventory slots to keep certain things in place.
Horde Base should have a storage crate present with supplies and ammunition
Yup... Always recommended to have a stocked crate especially if you plan to use it for multiple horde nights.
Here's my current issue with 7days. Its basically do the quests, do the quests, do the quests, then horde night. There is little incentive to actually explore other POIs unless they are part of a quest. I guess later stage you may need to mine for resources to build base and ammo, but other than that why go to anywhere.
I go out looting without the quests. me and my bike and some food. and ill come back with a ton of loot.
I'm not really into this game, but I enjoy watching you play it. I think your love of the game comes through to viewers and makes it entertaining.

Given that the pistol and AK can hold two at Tier One that is probably likely.
You are right. Quality 1 always has the same amount of slots of quality 5 of the previous tier.
I like that the trader rewards are nerfed. After playing A21 for a while I got frustrated with the fact that the game tells you to collect magazines but then the trader gives you a reward that is so advanced it makes collecting magazines pointless. (e.g. Able to craft level 3 pipe machine gun, trader gives me level 3 AK as a reward) Or I could just save up coin and buy a better weapon than I could craft. All you had to do was just grind quests - you'd never need to collect magazines.
I modded the game and removed all armor, weapon, and tool rewards from the traders quest rewards. Like 1.0 this slowed the pace of the game but made getting better stuff much more rewarding.
edit: Try putting a point into "Big and Fast" to see if you start getting club magazines again. I think sometimes the game looks at "where was last point spent" when picking loot.
Yeah, I'm glad quest rewards got nerfed heavily, and crafting being more viable. I think this is a way more healthy version of the game. I say this even with trading and questing being my preferred play style. It was just too powerful before.
I completely agree. Back in alpha 21 -- last week -- I would try to raise craft in something only for the trader to completely trump it. I'd sometimes have tier 3 items while my crafting was still restricted to tier 1 (that is, steel tier vs stone tier).
Just happen to remember there is always a mine there in that poi. Zombie crawling on it is practically scripted.
This comment may come a bit late as I'm catching up on the series, but on the Lockpicking skill. It does boost forged ahead loot chance, however if you read the workstations crafting skill details you will see that lovkpicking only does this boost up to level 15. In other words it boosts the odds only until you unlock lockpick crafting.
You can compensate the lvl vs books issue by increasing the loot % as you did the exp. It's not perfect but it can help.
Lvl 6 legendary I believe can only be crafted in 1.0 when you find "legendary parts" Not found or bought.
U can find legendary parts Glock 9 found 1
Hey kage awesome vid as always, just curious wouldn’t it make sense to pick up the office chairs then wrench them back at base save on inventory space?
The solution is finding a crack a book and loot it up for more magazines. Dont forget back in the day we used to hit up crack a book for that minibike book and looted random buldings before folks went quest crazy.
Supposedly crafted items past primitive are random. You can get through the day 7 horde with that pipe machine gun and wooden club. Despite the changes the day 7 horde is still a joke. Now day 14 and beyond yeah better weapons or barbwire traps to slow them down to get better headshots.
That's not going to be as easy, though. I suspect there aren't any crack a books in the forest, and I haven't seen one yet in the burnt forest.
@dcsobral they are still in the burnt biome. Saw GNS do one in the burnt biome. Forest biome though I don't think has one and kinda sure they took cities away from forest biome also. Which is fine we gotta leave starter zone eventually.
You left a gun safe in the last quest.
I think they are adding clothes back into the game if you look at the road map it says under a storms brewing wardrobe overhaul
Another bonus to taking lockipicking early on in the game, besides getting to the safes, is being able to hit up the ATMs in the Post Offices and at the gas stations. It's an easy way to get money to turn into dukes. I haven't come across the locked police cars yet, so I don't know if they are in the game, but you can usually get some good loot out of them.
Seriously? I have a police car every two blocks!
@@dcsobral Must be my luck! I miss my police cars! I need to just spend a day hunting them down. I have yet to come across them in the Eval version. It's killing me!

I've seen four towns so far: the initial one in the forest, one I passed through on my way to the burnt forest, one in the burnt forest that the opening trade routes took me to, and another I settled in because it was bigger. In all of them I saw multiple police cars.
@dcsobral At least I know they are out there now. It might be a bug or glitch with mine specifically. Like I said I will spend a day hunting for them. If I can't find them, then I may attempt to do something or just wait, seeing as an update could happen at anytime.
I'll stick with advanced engineering, it's a single player game so do as you will, but it feels too cheesy to do lockpicking to get what you want.
Man remember OG hoard nights where they would dig through the ground into your bases, the game has come so far.

trader stock is changing for sure. morning of day 13 Rekt had a chem bench for 13,500. I was a bit short but after 2 infested clears i had enough dukes to buy it. i went back to him same day and the chem bench was gone.
I didn't see the first landmine but the second landmine was next to the broken roof. Almost right under it.. so keep your eyes close to the ground if you don't know the Boi..

please wrench the workbenchs when you looting the houses. when you wrench them they gave you iron
Workbenches are crap now. All other stations are still good to wrench.
Upload the hordenight video already 😁 Also you could’ve put the tripod on your AK instead of the semi-auto mode. Semi-auto is called 1 mouseclick only, the full auto you might need against ferals ect.

I think it might be a bug. I went into spears and it's shocking how few spear magazines I got. Like three in the first five days.
12:25 Yes, when you craft anything the stats are all randomized within a range. You can make the same weapon 5 times, the stats will vary slightly for each one.

Theres a slight difference between all weapon stats nothing major normally nothing more that 3 points.

No you don't, advanced engineering does the same thing, I never put points into lock picking.

I don't think levels beyond 1 will increase the chances any more. I've always wondered about this, and if I was home right now I think I'd finally check it out. But it never seemed to make any difference to me. Level 1 increases magazine chances, and that's that. Guns ARE randomized, as are melee weapons and tools. I'm not sure if armor is also randomized on 1.0 or not, but it was in alpha 21. I have confirmed that weapons and tools are randomized in 1.0. Oh, man, you unlocked ak quality 2 on the first thing you looted after crafting the level 1! That Urban Combat book you got is not a straight boost. It's a mod schematic.

Have you tried to Minecraft your way up and wrench the top part of the street lights. Your the didn't change that.
Kage you are incorrect about the advanced engineering giving you new magizine it doesnt it increases the repair and salavge tools magz which you need desperately

I think they wanted the zombies to look more like corpses. The zombies definitely look more like the gore blocks and I've seen streamers struggle to figure out if something is a gore block or a zombie. Not an issue for kage though, since he doesn't sneak.

It's there, just looted one in my game. You have to go to bigger towns to find them. They spawn in commercial districts.
