The maintenance routine differs as per manufacturer's recommendations. However, there is monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly preventive maintenance checks of the bridge. Some conventional maintenance actions includes taking motor current readings, replacing gearbox lubricant oil, servicing, greasing the telescopic columns of the gantry etc.

What else passenger boarding bridge operator can do in ground? Only operate bridge?

Hi dante ju. Bridge operators can also operate other ground support equipment. It depends on the airport and the company. For instance, at busy airports, boarding bridge operators will only operate bridges. On airports where there aren't much flights, the company may find it more productive to get the boarding bridge operator to get engaged in some other ground handling operations also.

So why do you need a driver's license for this job?

Driver license is not needed. Jet Bridge has its own certification and license.
