    Best looking running board hands down. They’re nice and tucked up and don’t make the truck look low.

    I like those running boards they're high up and stick out a little bit and probably help stop someone's car door from ramming into the side

    Watched another install video where the guy drilled the under frame side holes bigger to tuck them up tighter to the body so less gap and higher ground clearance. I love that my Backcountry came will Factory installed ones but I really like those Mopar Brushed and Perforated Side steps !!! I was lucky enough to drive a Friends TRX and they were on it and the Gotta have it Factor is there !

    Thor…your video has been very helpful deciding on what to purchase. There are so many options available. My concern was to have them up tight to the rockers. This rebel is my wife’s truck and she is worried about slipping on the board. Can you comment on this plz ?
    Another question is if they have a lot of flex ?
    Thanks for making this video !

      The board is coated in a bed liner type coating so it has a lot of grip. I never notice them flexing at all. Thanks

    Used your video for a confidence booster. Put the same ones on my 2021 Quad Cab this morning. Easy. I love how they look and match the truck. Thank you for the nudge.

    Very helpful video. These look sweet are are the only side steps you should be installing on a Rebel. I did not think I needed them, but they make getting into the truck much easier for the wife, kids, etc. I plan on more off-roading. They sit up high so should not be an issue. This is a total DIY install, however you do need a torque wrench that can go as low as 8lb. Not very common what I found. Make sure you buy or borrow one before you being. My neighbors with all the tools did not have this so I had to go to a mechanic and have him do the final turns with the proper wrench. If you don't follow the instructions on this you may have issues. Start to finish should be 1.5 hours or less.

    I was looking in the description for the side rails on the Mopar website and it says not compatible with front splash gaurds... Have you had any issues? Was thinking of getting the Mopar molder splash gaurds

    • @thorrepairs6557

      I have seen that. Maybe it’s for a different set then mine. Maybe it’s for the moulded flaps. I had no issues with the flat style flaps.

  • @zinbad-carreviewsandmore1476

    So Thor, straight up are these the best option, despite the expense?
    I have HAVOC hoop style, which look pretty good and ingress is good, but egress is a stretch forcing you to fall from your seat to land on them, about 12" from floor pan. This will cause accelerate seat cushion wear at a minimum. Looking for a better option.

    • @thorrepairs6557
      @thorrepairs6557  3 года назад

      These Mopar boards sit high up so I guess that’s why they call them the “off road” style. I’m 6’ tall and usually just bypass the boards when getting out. They are right there when you open the door so the shorter people in my family such as my wife and kids use them for both ingress and egress. Ive had zero issues with them and the holes let the water and mud run right off.

    • @zinbad-carreviewsandmore1476

      @thorrepairs6557  3 года назад +1

      @@zinbad-carreviewsandmore1476 yes I recommend them and I have only had them in the snow/slush so not sure about rain noise but I don’t think that’s gonna be an issue.
