In my own opinion the simpsons of Conans era was probably the best tv programme ever made. The period from its start to 1997 was golden and ideas and jokes from episodes get ripped off all the time from shows today 30 years later. It’s been terrible from the year 2000 on though.
It truly is a great film. There's nothing Zach can make that I won't be completely deeply immersed. Coco crew... please, PLEASE make playlists of these shows. PLEASE.
I think what I love most about Conan in podcast form is it's like a pure form of him. Like, sometimes on TV it felt like he relied a little too much on this odd physicality that he maybe played up for the camera at times which I wasn't always the biggest fan of. Conan's biggest strength is his comedic wit. Yes this is filmed but that's of very minimal concern. He doesn't have to try and fill the physical space to keep that part of the audiences attention. Instead he can focus entirely on what he's saying. This is kind of the perfect format for him.

Love the way Sona & Matt sit there. Like 2 supporting detectives ready to jump in and challenge the suspect. Sona probably packs a sheep jaw-bone as a side-arm.... it's an Armenian thing
Heh... as soon as Conan mentioned that you have to find someone who will make the movie you want to make, I immediately flashed to the Duchovny film 'THE TV SET', and darned if a moment later he mentioned it! 😁
Knowing Conan's deep knowledge and interest in the Civil War, it really would actually be interesting to hear him talk to a Civil War veteran. They're all long dead now, obviously, but think about how interesting a conversation that would be.
Love the beard! Always loved your shows but this format is SOOOOOO much better!!! Met you at WB one night late both leaving set late, and you lied to me…. You looked me dead in the eye and said you wished you could grow a beard like mine…. Clearly you can sir, clearly you can! And it looks marvelous! Granted maybe you meant contractually you couldn’t 😂

As a non-American I really appreciate the part about Confederate. If he were to say Union I would have no idea what he was talking about as that word could refer to literally anything in any country, but he says Confederate I immediately go oh American Civil War.
when Conan and Zach speak about getting a screenplay made and how difficult it is, i don't 100% believe that it is that difficult to get a screenplay made. I say this because I just watched a trailer for a movie called Sharkula............

Then Braff asked, "do you want a photo as well?" and I said "erm.. no thanks.." Unbelievable celeb spotting story right there!

I've always wanted to know if he wrote one of my favourite Simpsons jokes, where Marge and the kooky scientist dude show up late to the Monorail opening, and he says "I shouldn't have stopped for that haircut." It just sounds so much like Conan's comedic voice to me.
Imagine having literally hundreds of millions of dollars, and still having to read out sponsored ads... Isn't there something better you should be doing with your time and all that power?
There's got to be a better way than just jump cutting to a long sponsor spot. Other channels don't cut off a conversation in the middle of a thought without even a transition.
