Thank you for the detail explanation. I have a small potted pomegranate tree that bared 2 pomegranates this year( only one is maturing, the other is “stunted “and it has a crack in it ) my question is how do I know it’s time to harvest. The mature one is deep red where the sun hits it the most and lighter red on the other side, it also has a crack in it where I can see the arils, but not nearly as bad as the ones you shown in your video. Any advice will be appreciated 💚
Hi Mario being ripe is definitely not the reason. It’s either that there has been an unusual amount of rain in your area or you are over watering. The pomegranate tree need very little water it is drought tolerant. Hope that helps. Have a great week.
@@mariomario.. Only moisten the soil down an inch every 2 weeks unless we were to get unusually hot days. Don't overwater since pomegranates, like citrus, do not do well with “wet feet.”
@@mariomario.. also we got a lot of rain in cali this week and next week it’s going to rain for a few days so no need to water until there’s no rain for at least 3 weeks
@@FightingFiftyTV Yes! I though about It. The problem is the placing of the tree. My parents planted It next to the lawn, so It gets some of that water... 2 sprinklers that provide to the grass at about 1 meter from the trunk of the tree, already redirected them so they sprink water far away from the tree. 20L a day, more or less, but probably most is drinked by the grass. I got no clue... Im thinking is probably some deficiency. My soil is very calcareous, so probably potassium or magnesium.
My pomegranate seeds are bitter. Any reasons for this? Is it because it's first harvest? 😢

We are not watering them but still they crack their peels.. What to do
Thank you so much! I don't want to lose my beautiful fruit!
You are so welcome! 😍
Nice presentatiom of my problem with pomegrade
.Thank you so much
Hi Antonio. You’re welcome ☺️
That happened to my pomegranate this year and I didn’t know the reason .Thank you for the information.
I’m so happy it helped 😊
They open up so seeds can fall and grow new trees.
They only open up like that id they are over watered, otherwise they do not split open
My Valencia Oranges started splitting after Hurricane Sally.
Yes, heavy rain will do that : (
❤🙏
Thanks for info, much appreciated
Glad it was helpful! 😃
Mine split like crazy also. My wife is adamant that it means the fruit is ripe..

@@FightingFiftyTV All the fruit is gone off my tree now. Do you recommend still watering the tree or let it rest until spring? Im in SoCal also.

@@FightingFiftyTV Thank you. Il keep watering it just a bit than.
Awesome explaination. And I can confirm it from personal experience.
Thank you it’s so sad when it happens but now we know. 😁
Just joined your channel 😄
Thanks for joining 😍😍
My pomegrante recibes consitent watering everyday trough summer and still got 90% splitting.
You are over watering. if you reduce it down to once a week or every 10 days your pomegranate won’t split. Try it and let me know
