Yes. If you use the Slideshow Creator tool, you can manually select from a range a transitions. I have a separate tutorial that I made the same time as this.

Turn Movie Studio Off. Hold down CONTROL and SHIFT keys at the same time AND ALSO AT THE SAME TIME double click program icon to Boot program. Window will pop up. Select Delete Cache and Yes. This will restore program to Factory Default Settings.

MS HD Platinum 11 missed the boat by leaving out a few beneficial slide show features like being able to highlight a one or multiple images and adjust their durations in a single action; same with transitions.

Part3: Is there any straightforward way to change a bunch of timeline stills to, say, 10 seconds with a 2-second transition in between each? How about keyboard-inputting the duration of a still into a field without having to drag the handle? Thanks again.
Is it possible to crop multiple pictures all at the same time? I have a time lapse with about 1500 photos and it will take me a long time to use the pan-crop tool on each photo. All that I will be doing is going from 4:3 standard, to 16:9 wide, just as you showed in the tutorial. Thanks. Matt.

I have been creating videos by pulling in slides with text adding to audio in Vegas HD 11. After render the video looks great, upload to YOu Tube the graphics (the text) look pixilated and terrible. have tried many forums - lots of same question but no solution. Tried many different setting - same results. May be a good topic for a new video for you ? Many thanks
I scanned my pictures into my computer, but they are 4X6, so there is a large amount of empty white space around them. I can't figure out how to crop the white space off in Vegas?! Help!! Thanks!
I'm having issues trying to add a photo into the timeline between two photos... is there an easy way to do this that I'm just not seeing? It keeps overlapping the photos that are already on the timeline, but I want it to add the photo in between the photos.
@TemporalParadox1 Thanks very much. I started my project with 1280x720, but i see that pal dv (Wide) is 720x576, hopefully i'm able to burn it to a dvd without getting black bars on the sides =( but i think i have to start over.
What settings do you recommend if i want to make a slideshow of 650 photos, about 2 seconds per photo and i want the best quality but it needs to fit on a DVD-R too. Do you have any tips?

H. Great video. Hope you can help me. I'm new to Movie Studio. I have somehow lost my default screen set up where the preview screen and the project media bins appear side by side. Now I can only toggle between them and they occupy the full screen above the time lines. Any ideas how I can get back to the earlier set up. Thanks. Barrie
Just like any video, images on the timeline can be dragged to make them last a shorter or longer period of time. When Importing large groups of Still Images onto the timeline, you can set the default length of time. Go to Options/Preferences/Editing Set "New Still Image Length"
