    I am on my third bottle. It's $49 for 5 ounces which is actually extremely good deal. Most sunscreen are 2 ounces and cost $20 to $40. NO WHITE CAST. Goes on very smooth. Gives a natural finish with slight glow if I like.

      Garnier has more product and it's cheaper. Shiseido's sunscreens are meant to have higher prices since it's a luxurious brand. You could argue Shiseido costs more since it has a higher quality than Garnier or Eucerin, but I won't throw any shade at either brand's experts.

    I have used this product back in high school, when the formula left a milky white cast (despite being chemical) as apposed to now a pinky beige to invisible formulation. I have since used Supergroup! Everyday PLAY spf50. The selling point for me was when you said it did not irritate the eyes. I have tried the La Roche Posay Anthelios spf100 and my eyes were in such agony while driving on the freeway! I will be retrying this soon! Thank you!

    Just purchased this and so excited to try it out. I was sold once I saw it was an oil/gel based product and that it’s clear. I HATE the white sunscreen! I did notice there’s a fragrance to it, but not over powering,. I actually enjoy the sent, but I do agree I’m not too happy it has scent because that could be irritating . I just pray it doesn’t make me break out. That’s one of my biggest issues with sunscreen, they always break me out. Fingers crossed lol 🤞🏼

    Definitely will purchase as my next sunscreen! I have been wanting to purchase but was turned off by the price but then I realized by ounce it is literally less than half the price of the Supergoop one I used to buy. 😂

    Dana, thanks a lot for your review! You do great work --- show the texture, explain how you feel about the product. I don't know any other sunscreen with WetForce technology. So ,I decided to switch from my favourite mineral sunscreens only for summer time and see if it's good enough to protect my skin and also if I'll like to use it. The skincare does have to be joy.))) Not only routine.

    Hi Dana. I want to know that you had said this sun protector lotion can wear on face when going out sun and it is true can protect sunburn because I saw it can use for face/body. Most usually the label write for face/body is not much work for face. That is right. Thanks a lot Dana.

    Great review! I love using their oil free ( white bottle) sunscreen but since that’s unavailable in my country, I’d like to pick this one up! Do you think it can be used by oily skin as well? Is it too oily at the end of the day?

    • @DanaRipperton
      @DanaRipperton  3 года назад +2

      Thanks! I think it might be a bit much on oily skin. It does absorb, but if you put on the correct amount, you could find it a bit too dewy

    Dana; estoy de acuerdo con cada palabra que dijiste sobre este producto; I love, love, love it!
    Mi piel es morena y No dejo white cast, cuando lo aplicas tiene la consistencia de seda y una vez que seca creo yo el aspecto es según mi opinión y mi tipo de piel( 49años dry)
    Es 100%natural , no Matte, No glowy
    Hubiera preferido No perfume; pero no tengo ningún problema con el aroma ; muy caro ; pero definitivamente vale la pena el precio para mi.
    Thank Dana for the profesional review

    Hey, thanks for the review:) I looked up the ingredients and got confused when didnt find avobenzone in it, but after some googling I found out that they name it as Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane in the list ( like it was already not tricky enough to understand all about sunscreens haha...). Anyhow, I was wondering how can we tell that it is providing enough of UVA protection? since PA factor is not indicated, only SPF? thank you :)

    • @DanaRipperton
      @DanaRipperton  2 года назад +2

      Thank you!!! Yeah, UV filters can be super confusing sometimes. So one of the best UVA filters is Avobenzone, and it’s made even more photo stable when used with Octocrylene, and this has both of those. I would say it has a relatively high broad spectrum protection when worn at the correct amount and re-applied. Hope that helps!

      I think it would be fine but you might want one that really truly doubles as a moisturizer/spf. The Neutrogena Revitalist one is a good option. Also, the Peter Thomas Roth water Drench. One is mineral (Neutrogena) and the PTR is chemical. Two great options🤗

    This is a chemical + physical sunscreen. It has a good amount of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide which are mineral sunscreen ingredients. Pleae do your research before reviewing products.
    The main function of sunscreen is protection from UVA and UVB rays. Sunscreen reviews must be more about the efficacy of it's protection from those rays and less about how it looks and feels.

    • @DanaRipperton
      @DanaRipperton  3 года назад +14

      Hi, no, this is a chemical sunscreen. If you go to the Shiseido website it says it in the description and ingredient list. Please do your research before commenting falsehoods on people’s pages.
      Also, I 100% understand how a sunscreen works and what it does, but thanks for explaining. The reason I talk about how it looks and feels is because if you’ve ever talked to the majority of people, both look and feel are 100% a factor in whether they will buy it, but more importantly, WEAR it. If that didn’t matter people wouldn’t be watching RUclips videos to see what it looks like...which I presume is how you found this video...So yes, that does matter.

      This comment is really awful, done in bad faith, and really misinformed. Sunscreen efficacy can never be done by a consumer review like what Dana does because that has to be established through clinical testing to determine the SPF values. Before it's sold in the market, that has to be established beforehand. So, Dana doesn't have to review it's effectiveness to protect you from UV rays because that's presupposed given it has an SPF rating and it's sold in the market. What she has to review then is how it feels or looks on the skin because that's what matters to us consumers if we wanna wear that sunscreen or not.
