I agree that the animation in the 2011 version is better (especially when it comes to the electricity and most fight scenes) but there is just something that draws me to the late 1990s-early/mid 2000s anime art style. I don't know if it's nostalgia or preference for how they designed most of the characters (especially Killua), but there's just something that draws me to the 1999 art style more than 2011's.
