One of my faves as well cuz of the main riff. I can hear the almost powerviolence-ish tone to it and I’m a huge fan of that style as well. That riff honestly wouldn’t be completely out of place on a Magrudergrind album
Amazing cover, the part at 2:45 is one of my favorite riffs in the black metal scene, the double stop plus the chord resolution is such a genius composition, very unusual for black metal, and you played it perfectly
Thanks so much! It's such a satisfying riff that I always find myself playing it at least once whenever I'm holding a guitar. It's a songwriting lesson contained within a riff if you ask me
Honestly I'm just wanting all these reissues to be over and done with to see if the possibility exists of getting an EP or split like there usually is surrounding full lengths
It starts the same but I move up to the 9th, 10th, and 11th frets on the 4th and 5th string to play the second part of the phrase. It’s not egregiously wrong but it never sounded quite right either.
@@rudi_tabootie Ah I see, I kept them on the higher strings since it sounds quite trebly, but unless there's live footage there's no way of knowing for sure what strings some parts are played on
Great cover as usual! If you're open to suggestions, would love to see you play some covers from nidrosian black metal bands such as Whoredome Rife, Mare, and Djevel. Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult covers would be sick too!
Thanks! I do like Mare and the latest Djevel release, might get around to it after I'm done with all the stuff I've currently got planned. Might do a Ruins song way down the line too
This is actually one of the few songs where Demonic gets (joint) songwriting creds. AFAIK he's never done any interviews, which means there probably isn't any way of figuring out what parts he contributed
I have a Bias FX 2 preset made for each album, it's a bit difficult to describe the settings. Generally speaking, you want to boost low mids and cut high highs
@@austinisasian Hey thanks, I have the Judeobeast tone uploaded on Tonecloud (just check my album cover playlist description). I would upload the rest, but I'm not completely happy with them yet and keep tweaking settings. I'll definitely upload those eventually, just stay tuned and check out future GBK video descriptions

The little bit of Svolder I’ve heard I haven’t liked, and in any case I don’t plan on covering bands with such explicitly backward lyrical themes. GBK is pretty much exactly where I draw the line as far as that goes. I’m certainly open to any different suggestions you may have though, to add to my list of tab/cover ideas.
@@afra_rI understand and respect your opinion and vision about. So, i really recommend you to listen Ecce Homo from Lutomysl, a masterpiece album filled with unforgettable melodies.
@@bergvicio-jornadablackmetal Just listened to this, was pleasantly surprised actually. Only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the vocals, so I listened to the instrumental version too. Good stuff!
@@afra_r the instrumental version is special to me because i have a instrumental black metal band and my main influence is Lutomysl lol the vocals are different but the melodies are beatiful, listen after ecce homo, catharsis and deprofundis.
Riff at 5:28 is so amazing.
Fun as hell to play too
I wanted this forever. It’s their best song.
I thought of you as soon as I saw this in my feed haha
Hope you enjoyed the video dude

Tricifixion is coming in the future. It’s going to be a collab between me and Tyrant on his channel (youtube.com/@Recrucified ).
