    Here is what you'll need!
    Easy Homemade Potato Gnocchi
    Servings: 2-3
    INGREDIENTS
3-4 small or medium russet potatoes
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon pepper
    1 egg
    1-1½ cups flour
2 tablespoons of butter (for pan frying)
    Sage (for pan frying)
    PREPARATION
Add potatoes to a large pot of cool water. Bring the pot of water to a boil and boil potatoes for 20-25 minutes, or until a fork can easily poke through it.
Drain potatoes and allow to cool.
Using a peeler or your fingers, remove the skin of potatoes.
In a medium bowl, mash the potatoes until all lumps are gone.
Add salt and pepper to mashed potatoes and mix well.
Make a ring of the potatoes and crack an egg in the center.
Whisk the egg and lightly mix into the potatoes until evenly distributed.
Knead the dough, adding flour along the way until the dough loses stickiness and becomes a more solid mound.
Slice dough into 4 parts, take one part and roll it out into a long rope, about an inch wide.
Slice rope into ½-inch squares and set aside.
Using an overturned fork, you can slide each gnocchi square over the fork prongs so they become serrated in a corkscrew shape. Another way to shape the gnocchi is to simply press your finger into the gnocchi to form a small basin.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the gnocchi. Boil until they float to the top, then remove.
In a pan over medium heat, melt butter and add sage.
Add gnocchi to pan with sage butter, toss until lightly golden on the outside.
    Enjoy!

andrea is the name she listed all of the ingredients..
but if you mean how.. I think 2 tbs butter and 1 tbs olive oil in a pan, 2 gloves of chopped garlic into the pan, make it sizzle.. ad the gnocchi.. mix it with the garlic and butter... sprinkle 2 or 3 leaves of freshly chopped basil on top, turn of the heat and sprinkle your parmesan cheese over your gnocchi

I just made this recipe. I made a couple of changes - I used a ricer because my grandmothers and Mother always did. I used my thumb to make little indentations in the little pillows just like they used to. But other than that, I used this recipe for the gnocchi. I made fresh pesto this morning from my homegrown basil for the sauce. I made the gnocchi to give to my daughter so she won’t have to cook on Tuesday. Monday is her birthday. I had to try it first. It is fabulous! I am particular about my gnocchi too. I like it very light and fluffy and this was! My family found a way to cut the prep time for gnocchi by using potato flakes. It honestly tastes very good too but this is amazing! I am experimenting with freezing part of it. Not going to lie, it took a bit of work to make but lots of time these days due to lockdown. Thank you!

Just would like to let y'all know that if you do not let your mashed potatoes drain any liquid before you add anything to them your gnocchi will fall apart. wrap them in a paper towel and apply some weight to them to squeeze out the moisture.

Iris Leung thats why you dont pre peel, cuzz the potatoes suck up to much water, leave skin on and use less flower, (italian hack:just put some pecorino romano in the dough to make it come together better and more delicious)

Have used this recipe several times now for copycat Olive Garden Gnocchi Soup. It works very well, the only problem being that the methods they use for making them into pretty shapes do not work for me and it leaves a very large mess to clean up after. I am not personally a huge fan of gnocchi, but both my sister and parents like it, meaning it's great!

Whenever I make gnocci it never tastes as good as bought, I don't know why, its also way too filling and tastes like raw dough.

Maybe less flour, and try seasoning the pasta dough before cooking it?
I want to make it tonight with my fresh homegrown potatoes and I'm going to trying seasoning some of the dough.

if it taste like raw dough you added too much flour and actually can be overcome with the correct herb and seasoning

En mi país, Argentina, comemos ñoquis (como los llamamos aquí) los días 29 de cada mes, excepto en el mes de febrero ; )

You Don't Use a potato masher ! If you do you will get potato lumps in your dough. You're suppose to use a ricer . They cost a few bucks . All you do is stick your potato in it and press. It's also the best formula for the best mashed potatoes.

Those look delicious, but you should never use a metal cooking utensil in a non stick pan it will scratch the coating off.
