    Good morning we have just fitted the fiama awning f45s to the side of the citroen relay 2021 l4 h3 just wondered if when you bring the awning out about 500 mm the side of the van near the back doors end starts to bend . We have fitted the awning the same as your video just wondered if your does the same is your van a older style thinking it might be the metal thinner in a new van .did read the instructions first and they do say it must be vertical I have ordered more brackets to support the back area .Thank you for your videos keep up the good work

      Hi, i have a 68 plate and have not noticed any 'bend' particularly. I will have a good look when next on the van project and will report back!

    I am curious if you needed the hot glue and how that worked out?

      seems to be fine, all the individual sections are still joined together and working so all good.

    What if your van is finished inside? What do you do with the wires?

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  Год назад

      Run around outside the van for 5 mins in a panic and then calmly think about what bits you will need to take off to route the cable where you need it. it is a tiny cable easy to thread through and around things.

    Very helpful video - can you send me a link to the cable gland please? Cannot find it anywhere on Amazon?

    How and where did you wire it to the vehicle electrics?

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  2 года назад +1

      the small cable that comes on the end one is sent through the van using a Scanstrut gland and then connected to an internal light switch on the end of the kitchen unit.

    hi, what do you think about the lights being in cold white?

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  3 года назад

      Good question, I'm not sure why manufacturers of LED lighting assume we all like and want cold white colour temperature. It is OK in actual fact but a choice of cold white or warm white would be better for the customer, either switchable in the same case light or two different products.

      Amber would be perfect and it keeps swarms of mosquitos away.

    protect the wire from the bare metal with either a grommet, sealant, conduit or some hot glue...
