It's a crossover game. Gundam, Macross, Nadesico, King Gainer, Eureka 7, Dunbine, Wings of Rean, Dragonar, Brain Powered, and Shin Getter Robo are all in there.
Only bad match up for it is Sazabi, who even after overfreeze moves pretty damn fast and the quick spreads + funnels make a hard to dodge opponent (and Gainer can't take too many hits)
@SMAXZO Oh, I got one very good reason. This game is older than Gurren Lagann. If you wanted ask why it never appeared in the series, that would be a slightly more legitimate question.

to question how the hell you do the monkey with him in the game??? i tried but i cant get it right secound everytime i play with a player there song dont come out like all your videos...i just play with king gainer just now and neither i could do the monkey and i couldnt get the game to put the song!!!! by the way i have the entire king gainer series...thinking of putting it up but it takes Estremely long i left it for a whole night and it still didnt work..its just about 230 mb for epi
They might count as close enough if they were considered but whether or not that is true they aren't in the game (or the earlier games in the series). Series list in next comment due to lack of space.

You know it's odd how small King Gainer is, yet it's a more powerful Super Robot than SHIN GETTER. depite how hueg Shin Getta-1 is in comparison.

I don't think you can call this one a shooter. It's a mecha game, and it's a shame it'll never be released outside of Japan due to costliness.
