  • This goes beyond Norvegese to a goyser welt. Clearly the most complex welt of the collection. I’ve seen these in most of the hand made Italian brands and of course Heinrich Dinkelacker and Vass. Where have you seen this?
    Bentivegna / Tirolese / Goyser
Similar to the Norwegian construction but with a storm welt. Seen as one of the most sturdy and complex constructions available . This construction has many different names depending on region. In Northern Italy, as well as Firenze, it is known as the Tirolese construction. In East Italy it is known as the Bentivegna construction. In other areas it´s known as Stagno, meaning waterproof in Italian. It´s also known as Goyser construction.

Are these bedapester shoes worth the $795 retail price?

You mentioned your foot is on the wider side. How do the Buda and Luzern last fit you around ball? Some Italian last pinches my pinky toe. Any arch support on the Buda last?

These are G width lasts. They are very wide. There is arch support but not like a narrow waist arch support. If you’ve got flat feet you will have room for an insert because of the width.

They say, once you wore Dinkelacker, you will never want another shoe.

They’re very nice. But I’m not sure I’d be satisfied with their style forever. 😀

How comfortable do you find the shoe and especially the triple sole for long walks (6-8miles)

The shoes are very solid, but also light. After 3-4 miles my feet still feel very supported and not tired from being in the shoe. At the end of the return trip they still feel good. Very solid shoes. Supportive but not soft.
