Another brand showcase where i'm on my first pair. It's always difficult to add the value you're looking for in a brand when i only have one. This is part of the process however of deciding the brands I'll acquire three shoes in.
So far the brands with only one are:
John Lobb
Bontoni
Stefano Bemer
Mezlan
Löf and Tung
Barbanera
Cru Non Pareil
Paraboot
CNES (another arriving shortly)
Fugashin
Barker
Gordon JimJun
Acme
Bruno Magli
Cobbler Union
Cheaney
Michael Darren (another arriving shortly)
Vass (though i have an Ascot Kaan also lasted and welted by Vass)
Yeossal (i have three, but one is a Meccariello and the other unknown Italian brand vs Yeossal's handwelted line)
Heinrich Dinkelacker (though i've had another that i sold)
J Fitzpatrick (though I've had 2 others that i sold)
Just arrived or coming shortly with no Brand Showcase Videos:
Corthay
Aubercy
Vahtia
Norman Vilalta
Ichigo Ichie
Francis Waplinger

Thank you for the review of the shoes. And I'm glad to hear that you even bought them in the Bietigheim shop.
Greetings from Berlin
Tobias - Shoepassion
Greetings Tobias. With luck I’ll be able to visit again soon. Best wishes... JS

I own two boots from Heinrich Dinkelacker and they are incredibly comfortable. They are made out of waxed nubuck leather, fantastic in bad rainy weather and the welt looks phenomenal
I haven’t seen the waxed leather. Sounds great.
They sound incredible and hope you like them as much as I like mine.
@@wishoeguy The leather is softer than regular calfskin. It has the typical pull up leather look. Definitely unique and I can absolutely recommend the leather.
Thanks for the shoutout regarding the shell! Nice to know how to spot that.
I’m glad it’s valuable.
@@wishoeguy I really have learned a great deal from you regarding a lot of different topics. I didn't even know what a goodyear welted shoe was 6 months ago. I have found I really do enjoy learning about shoes. Even shining them has turned into a relaxing meditative time for me. Keep up the good work im enjoying what you do. I am astounded you are able to have access to so many high quality shoes. Living vicariously through you! Haha
@@joeheinecke5134 thanks. I’m so fortunate that my wife allows me to spend money this way. Happy it’s helping you see something I see in this hobby.
@@wishoeguy Completely different topic but so cool your wife is German! My family came from Germany. I remember hearing my grandma speak German and I always wanted to learn it. I have been studying daily as I love the language. Hopefully you have picked a bit up over the years!
My collection has started with 3 pairs of Meermin the latest beeing the Burgundy Norvegese. My wife is slowly coming around. Titration!
As a chiropractor I just argue the importance of proper footwear! Lol
If shell and calf are in the same price, which one do you prefer?
Both. Lol and I’m serious but not why you think. I love shell and it’s great to wear but I like shining my shoes and wearing a high shine and nothing beats great calfskin for carrying the outstanding shine. So I would still have both.
@@wishoeguy I see, I feel shell is harder to mirror shine as well.
Similar to Vass in terms of fit?
No. The Buda, RIO, and Luzern lasts from HD are G widths so sizing is a bit different. They recommend going down 2.5 sizes from your US size but I went down 1.5 and am happy. All depends on your foot.
@@wishoeguy Interesting, thanks so much for the information--
Shoepassion has decided to market its men and women’s collections under the Henry Stevens brand from spring 2021, which should be soon
Fascinating. I wonder why? I wish them well in the change. I guess I’ll notice when their mobile app changes.
