Adding a banana on top is something I never thought about doing. Next time I get to cook some desert for my family, I will definitely make this!

I used to put banana on top. It looked pretty but the downside is the banana bread would've gone bad faster because of the moisture of banana slices.
This recipe is so amazing and I use it to deal with so many overripe bananas at home. I don't have cane sugar so I substitute it for 60-70gr of brown sugar, still tastes so good. A tip for u guys, chop up some walnuts or pecans and sprinkle them with chocolate chips on top of the cake for tastier and more beautiful ❤❤❤

何とバター2倍入れてしまって。勘違いしました。
粉を多くしてアーモンドスライス、ブラックチョコを入れて焼いてみました。
とても美味しくできました。やっぱりバターで作ったケーキは、美味い😋
丁寧な作業所作と、清潔感に感心します。

I made this by using whole wheat flour and only 25 g of sugar, and still taste really good!!

Thank you for the recipe, tried it and it was great however I couldn’t quite achieve the texture of yours. I guess cake flour really makes a difference.
Yeah came flour makes the cake turn out softer as it has less gluten content compared to plain flour. You can just substitute cake flour with 8g of corn starch per 100g of all purpose flour. The results will turn out the same.

Just made this recipe and the banana cakes turned out to be amazing! I added half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and some walnuts. The walnuts enhanced the texture of the cake by adding some chewiness. Thanks for this recipe!

I followed this recipe exactly and it worked beautifully! It wasn't too sweet and really let the natural sweetness of the bananas come through. Delicious!
As you have tried the recipe, can u pls tell if cake flour is all purpose flour ?

It's a different type of flour from all-purpose. Cake flour is lower protein and has a softer texture than all-pupose flour.
When you can taste the food through an image, the video is amazing.

Great banana bread, not too sweet. I had some chocolate chips and when it came out of the oven, i put some brown sugar on the bananas and flammed it, crème brûlée style. Thank you HidaMari for another fantastic recipe.

I am from Brazil and this cake is a national passion. We also melt the sugar first and put the banana slices on it. Then put the mixture over everything. It gets heaven in a bite.
The best bananas for banana bread are ones so ripe they are too sickly sweet to eat.
Some people don't like black dotted bananas but I really love this kind of ripe banana🍌

I tried out your recipe and it came out really nice! I added some pumpkin spice to the flour but followed everything else. It's not overly sweet which is great.

Messing up with this recipe. Adding extra whipping cream and sourdough discard (since I have to. Or I have to dumped them) And ofc extra banana and bit sugar. But it turned out great actually 😂. Thanks!

🧂Adding a little salt and one teaspoon 🥄 of vanilla would make it more amazing. We love either chopped walnuts or pecans in the batter as well. The raw banana on top would be a mushy texture... would rather it be mashed and added with the first banana! My family recipe has a little buttermilk (can use a little milk + 1 Tbsp. Vinegar) and while this demo looks interesting, there are other better recipes.

I made this today, but with double amount :) this is a really delicious, moist and very easy to make cake. I added some vanilla and cinnamon as extra, because i always add these to everything with banana in it. I also made some "sauce" because I had some last minute mascarpone in the fridge that I needed to use up, I mixed that with one mashed banana, some sugar and cinnamon. Turned out to be really cool. Great recipe as always :)
