I love Larry Manetti. He is a stand up guy. I got to speak with him when he was broadcasting on line a few years back.. I asked him if he was really afraid of bugs and he said definitely so! It was a thrill speaking with him, his wife Nancy and Roger Mosley.
Great show. Great cast. Lightening in a bottle. All the right people cast at the right time. Read Larry's book: Aloha Magnum. It's good. + a couple good recipe's!!
When she said she loved Tom, and later said “the dogs”, I felt bad for Larry because I thought she was going to say she liked him. Nope. The dogs. You deserve better then this interview Larry, the show wouldn’t be the same without you my friend.
Are you kiddin' me ? What's wrong with loving The Lads ? The Lads were THE original co - stars in Season one and they were major character actors for the first 3 seasons, until they were all but rubbed out later on in the show for that damn yacht. The Lads pulled their weight.
I wonder if this interview was made at the “Outrigger Canoe Club” those look like the old restaurant chairs. The bars scenes were there & weight room was downstairs. Incredible ocean views from the restaurant.
I love Larry but she was rude! All she did was talk about Tom. I thought this was an interview for him.. Still watching Magnum! (Tom selleck the only Magnum!)
Working 6 days a week. For how many weeks? I mean, how long does it take to record a season of a show. The reels have to go through post-production also.
It's called "Morning Talk" starring Leta Powell Drake. It's a celebrity format type of show. It only ran for 8 years (1978-86) She's quite a personality.
What a terrible interview. She kept insulting him on the sly. Literally called him 'support people' to his face in the third person. It might be true, but it is very poor etiquette and professionalism. She basically interviewed Tom Selleck through him, and made it painfully clear she didn't think much of him. Larry took it all gracefully. She is supposed to be an industry insider? Terrible.
Still watching in 2020. on the Hallmark Mysteries channel. Best show ever.

Larry Manetti was also in Battlestar Galactica during its brief run prior to Magnum PI.
Original Magnum still watching 2018
AUG 13 2019..INTRODUCED MY SON TO THE SHOW ...LOVES IT!!
Grant Schweitzer me to
2021 here 😁
I liked every actor on Magnum. Great job guys.

Also, Embellish yourself? Horrible interview.

Agreed. All she talked about was Tom, or mostly Tom. Rick was as integral to the show as Tom, Roger, and John. She slighted Larry.
She's interviewing Tom Selleck vicariously through Larry... incredibly unfair and unprofessional!!!
Great to see this interview, Larry is awesome.
Love love Magnum pi the original best iconic show. I have the entire series... very talented cast..
Excellent interview. Great series! Big fan.
Yes Larry is a first class guy
So he was offered Simon and Simon in 1980 , well they did go with that a few years later and Simon and Simon did a crossover with magnum.

Great guy-great actor

What a gentleman. Similar stuntman fatality few years later on sister Belissario show Airwolf.
I totally agree, the interviewer sucks! No questions regarding TC too much. Horrible.
Une bonne série 👍👍
She just cuts his ego to pieces. I don’t think she was very complementary in this interview at all

Would you mind providing the name of the show and/or the name of the interviewer? Thanks.

cybersquire He handled well. Very professional.
The interviewer is ridiculous and grossly disrespectful. Even Tom Selleck was uncomfortable with her.
why do these people let themselves go -
Rhett Butler of the 80’s-well put
BUT the interviewer 👎
