Tom is and always was a class act. I lost my dad when I was 14 in '84. We always watched MPI together, and those guys served as role models to me after my Dad passed away. In the only letter I ever wrote to a celebrity, I told Tom of this. I must have been in my late 30s at the time. Much to my surprise he wrote me a very kind note back, and sent an autographed photo of himself as TM. Class all the way.

@@jondaugustine9072 this was many years ago. I believe someone posted an address for his management company on the Magnum-Mania site. But as I said, this was years ago.
Great show. Back when TV was entertaining. Magnum Higgins Rick etc yeah felt like they I knew them.

One of most manliest man ever
My mother saw Tom Selleck at a hotel in NYC back in 1989. She said that in person Tom Selleck was absolutely beautiful. 6'4 perfect face, beautiful smile and a perfect body build. She said she just stared at him and he looked at her and smiled. She still mentions it when i ask her what actors were actually good looking IN PERSON back in the 80's and 90's.
Lucky her! I live in NYC my whole life and haven't bumped into any real good looking actors.

Magnum PI was the best show ever. Tom has always been a class act, so rare with today’s narcissistic stars...

Who ironically did his own driving stunts.
The studio insisted he stop and let a professional stunt driver do it for the reasons outlined by Tom Selleck in the interview, but eventually agreed that Garner was a better driver!
Still as humble and down to earth today as he was then. A true gentleman.
I wish to know his family. Good values are learned from other doing them.
He's genuine. And he stayed with his wife... I love him.
Doesn’t necessarily mean that he was faithful to her, especially when he was younger.
I’ve interviewed many older couples where the wives said that infidelity was something that was to be ignored and pretended to not happen because “that’s just what you did back then.”

Yes not only is Tom a nice guy and fine actor, he s extremely generous. He shared his success with the other 3 co stars of MAGNUM PI. He promised them if the show became a hit, he would buy them all a gift.. a porsche each!.. and he did. When Magnum ended in 1988 he also bought rolex watches for the cast and crew as a thank you. He went all over Honolulu and paid the shop price as he wanted the money to go back into Hawaii.
noooo it was not just the car. we loved everything about magnum pi. the car, the dogs, the shorts, the cigar, the jokes, the car chases, the Hawaiin shirts. and especially the mustache.

Truly you’ll open up space to attract in respectful friends who aren’t only using you for your yes. We each have our path to walk. Nobody can honestly dislike you for committing to your health & wealth if they’re your true friend. Remember that you deserve friends that are truly friends.

I just love Tom Selleck, his voice is so sexy and he is so comfortable and does not act rude or have the attitude of being stuck on himself. As many actors and actress get really high on their self and truly act stupid. NOT, Tom Selleck is a man like all men should be.

I had a nice surprise in the early 1980's, I got to meet Tom Selleck and John Hillerman (Higgins). John was such a wonderful sweet guy and Tom was very nice, but more on the quiet side.

I ran in into Mr. Selleck at the trap/skeet shooting range & gunstore in Rosemead, California several times in the late 1990’s. He’s the real deal nice guy, treated everyone with courtesy & respect and a smile & friendly word to all. The man had some beautiful firearms.

It's truly tragic that we'll never get that continuation with Magnum and his daughter that was supposed to happen thanks to that thing they're passing off as Magnum now. Sigh. I would've loved to have seen that.

I loved Magnum. Tom was class in it. He is a charmer. Absolutely loved his car, and those dogs too. Tom is one handsome devil. Amazing to think he is 76 now. He doesnt look anywhere close to it. The guy who plays his father in Blue Bloods is 81yrs old. Lol only 5yrs older in real life. Shame Toms charm didnt seem to work quite as well on the big screen altho Quigley Down Under was great. I think he would have made a great Indiana Jones(altho Harrison was perfect for it) if he had gotten that part.

Look at him now on Blue Bloods he looks younger than his 72 years he looks fine here just forgot to go to make up before the interview I remember all the broads were crazy about him back in the 80s and he was in his thirties during this interview and looks just fine
