Does anyone know why Westlife was banned from the USA? Makes me mad, because I live in the USA and love Westlife a lot! Such a fine example for all groups. Because they are not american, they are pop music, there's no social media, Simon Cowell doesn't have that strong connections yet back then, and they are a boy band

@@ritaschalla2279 i know right, I got my American citizenship a few years ago and I'm upset I can't see them on tour 😭 They're the top selling foreign artist OF ALL TIME in my origin country, Philippines. They've been there on tours a lot and I haven't heard/seen them in person. I read that the reason was their music wasn't the kind of music American radios wanted to play. Maybe because many of their songs were ballads? Still doesn't make sense to me because other artists like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey had the same kind of songs around that time. Maybe because US already had boybands like Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, New Kids On the Block who sang "cool" , more "masculine", lyrics with sexual content, and upbeat songs and they wanted boybands that way. Spice Girls made it out here because their songs were like that too but they're the female counterpart and they had no competition. They also probably know Westlife tops the charts so many times and sells millions of records worldwide and didn't want that here because the labels here are spending money on their own boybands. Isn't it kind of an open secret that the music industry here controls which artists and type of music they want people to hear and be popular. Until now, even with the internet, the music I hear on the top 40 radio is pretty confined to a group of artists, but there's so much better music we can find on RUclips. I am hoping they release a really powerful song so great it goes viral like what happened with Despacito and US will have to play them or any way so they'll become so popular again but on the internet like Kpop BTS (we don't even understand what they're saying) and US will have to invite them over. 😆

I just love how confident Shane's fans are. It's because they know Shane is the best vocalist you'll get with Versatile tones. He can switch and sing country music like a country singer without any effort like he did in America all those years ago. Those American producers ended using him alone for a song cause he nailed it.
