Loved it James! We very rarely get slippers here in Qld so they are always a treat. I actually came across the Qld record the day before a comp just walking along the bottom, lucky the comp was the next day so I could weigh it in!

Hey Jack thanks for watching what area are you from? They are definitely more common in some areas than others

@@jamessakker2117 I'm up in Sydney northern beaches have seen a few pulled out in my area. But they aren't a common find always make it a habit to check the ceiling now though

Great video. How far North do those little critters go?
Over in Bali at the moment, just did a great spearfishing charter here definitely worth it. I’ve also found a local wooden speargun manufacturer who makes some awesome weapons. Let me know if you want a teak speargun.

Thanks mate I’m not sure how far north they go. Is that Andre making the spearguns? My mate dodgy had one and he rates them highly. I don’t need any more guns I just need to be more accurate! Glad you had a great charter what fish did you see?

@@jamessakker2117 not Andre, BaRa Sub which is a one man artist. The guy’s skills with wood are amazing.
I shot a big Parrot Fish, nice Gold Spot Trevaly a Barracuda and 2 x octopus. I was looking for a big Spanish but none showed up. The restaurant cooked it all up perfectly.
I personally find the extra bulk and balance of a wood gun that is well built helps me shoot straight. The one I used was very stable in the current and had next to zero recoil.

@@Timbuctoo yeah you’re right about the balance and accuracy of a well made timber gun they absorb the recoil much better. Sounds like an awesome trip! Still horrible here

Beautiful footage James! Dreaming of more clear water like that. Q: I still can't get my head around the rules .. is slippers and painted/ornate counted in the total 3lobster max?
