Chanced upon this video whilst doom scrolling on Twitter. And just in time too as I am trying finish up my simple site and jumping straight to app dev. This can definitely give me some foundation for someone with no coding experience. Thank you Greg!
Great channel and exploration of tools that unlock creativity. Having wrestled with proprietary and OSS since the late 90s, I can definitely relate to how clumsy and labyrinthine the configurations and integrations were. Replit is one of those platforms that reduces those obstacles and makes enables much faster experimentation and implementation. I really admire the founder’s vision and accomplishment!
Fantastic video! I'm in the process of creating a landing page for my blog and experimenting with an AI-based 'niche finder tool' just for fun. I'm encountering some errors, particularly with generating PDF reports, but I'm still new to this. It's definitely enjoyable to experiment with these projects! Hopefully, I'll complete my landing page soon 😊. I've noticed the agent tends to slow down as the chat progresses.
The deployment feature is a winner for me - I am not a developer, let alone whatever role the server / cloud setup and deployment task would be called... all the AI coding projects I have done are all hosted locally on my machine. Although I have had deep conversations with AI about the best technologies and options to use, I still don't fully understand it all, let alone the ability to become an expert in those matters... Looking to see how this develops in the future...
Yeah, agentic AI isn't quite there yet. Might not be much longer, but it's not to the point where you can “Say to your LLM the following: Make me a copy of TikTok, steal all the users, steal all the music, put my preferences in it, produce this program in the next 30 seconds, release it and in one hour, if it's not viral, do something different along the same lines. That's the command. Boom, boom, boom, boom,”. Sorry, just had to clown on that moron Eric Schmidt.
The title of the video is misleading. AI can't builds 100% of an App at least with the current state of the technology .The only Apps made by AI are simples or incompletes . It's all AI Hype .
This is cool! Can you change the interface to audio? Instead of typing prompts and talking to the AI, can you just talk? And have the agent respond verbally that you can hear?
As cool as this is - it's too technical for non-technical founders and not technical enough for technical founders. AI needs to be able to deploy a persons vision be it website and/or app - front end, back end, security, advertising, SEO, payment processing, etc... and that's a lot of work.
Well i am a paying Replit Customer and can only say the AI part is not ready for any serious work. Even their own landmark demo does not run here fter several attempts. support is non existent.
Hey! Thanks for the podcast. It's awesome Greg, can you tell about the setup you use to record your podcast? Video, sound, programs? I really want to learn how to do the same format of displaying guests and their screens. How do you do it?
Bro! Your product is amazing, it does everything I want.❤ .why does it have such a problem with authentication!?!😂 Everytime, my whole project works... But I have to go back and rebuild the entire Auth process.
Are you able to share the tech you used to do this video? What platform did you use for the interview and if different did you use something for editing the video before publishing to RUclips?
As long as Next.js, Tailwind, react, etc... are not supported by the replit agent, the tool is useless. The UI/UX of replit agent are really very ugly. No users will pay for a Micro SaaS developed by the replit agent. It was so laggy that it actually didn't show anything about the replit agent. Except a very basic app with no features. It should have shown how to add a full user management system, add a payment system, etc...
@@GregIsenbergi think it needs some more connection with Best pracrices and standard libraries. Sick video! Would love to talk to you about a new tool I found that pretty much does everything cursor, v0 and replit does on a single platform.. I've contacted you on x
Replit is truly awful. It is nowhere near production ready. It can only build very basic apps that will NEVER make money until it gets a massive upgrade! 👎
@@GregIsenberg I am working on a website and an app, using GPT-canvas, and used gpt-pilot. The problem I see is that once you get beyond the initial complexity AI systems are unable to proceed further without breaking code that works already. So basically it is all back on the programmer, without the benefit of understanding of what was built before.
NEW CHARACTER UNLOCKED AMJAD MASSAD CEO OF REPLIT. COMMENT/LIKE/SUBSCRIBE TO SHOW SOME LOVE
what a click bait title... takes 20 min to role a joint and smoke it....
Lex beat you to the cursor team 😂
Holy! Getting the CEO of replit here? You're amazing!
only the best for u guys!!

not for long
It feels like the idea was planned because the first suggestion on the main page of the website was "local landmarks"
My 2 favourite people in AI and product..Thanks for the collab and the value share!

enterprise-ai AI fixes this (Code complete projects in PHP or Python). CEO builds app with AI.
Love replit agent, it’s blown my mind since day one and they are rapidly innovating.

Hey, can you take this one down for a few days, a week max? Asking for a friend.
Replit is a true unicorn 🦄, very awesome
yup!!
Can someone explain what exactly does the newly built Scenic App do? Searches scenic spots in bay Area? Doesn't Google Maps do just that?
Can we use our own registered domain names to deploy the app on the Replit Google Cloud?
Replit is the most promising ai dev app imho
super powerful

Just build the API for them

I do not think so! In the market, there is no full no-code development tool that allows users to create full no-code applications.
amazing
