OK. So, I just saw your final review message at the end of your video. So, do you think that maybe 1CM Gel Pad would work better by leaving some of the other seat foam in place and only cutting in 1CM deep so it's two types of the padding?
To be honest yes it might. But I didn’t have that option as most of the seat foam was only 1cm thick. A friend of mine did it on his fz1 seat and it did make quite an improvement.
OK. Thanks for your response. I will go with the 1CM gel pad instead of 2CM. Obviously there is a difference between just all gel seating support and a combo build. I would guess because the original foam is more firm while the gel conforms to your butt bones or your butt shape in general. Anyway. some things you can't learn about without trying things out. @@frbfreeridebeans Oh, I forgot to mention. I have seen some people put a sheepskin cover on top of the seat and they have all said it makes for a more comfortable ride due to the air circulation they get under their butt and legs. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
When you slap it, it sounds like a slab of beef. What does the gel do? Will it soak up the heat in the summer like heat gel & cook your balls?
Do you need to add the extra foam layer?

The stock seat on the Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic LT is horrible. I'm going to do this mod to try and improve comfort. Some of the seat manufacturers want $500 for a new seat for the Vulcan. Too expensive!

Why didn't you just put the gel onto the seat pan and reinstall the seat foam unaltered over the top of it? It was good enough for the original factory "foam". Not being critical, just curious.
Hi thanks for the view and comment it’s much appreciated. It would of been too thick you have to remove some of the foam to keep the thickness the same
@@frbfreeridebeans I had an r6 that I cut a small hump out of the seat pan and it made the seat loads more comfortable, it also let water drip directly on top of the battery and created a whole new gang of issues.
