  • Step by step installation of a Kenwood amplifier in my 2008 Pontiac G6 with a factory, non-monsoon head unit. Be sure to disconnect the battery prior to removing the head unit and reconnect it after the installation is complete. NOTE: When reinstalling the head unit the message "CD changer parked" will be displayed. Do not be alarmed. Simply press the CD load button and the message will not reappear.

    Dude i have a question, where are the crossovers for the tweeters and woofers and mid-bass in an all factory car? Are they in the factory amp in the trunk? Are they in the door panel/kick panel? Are they on the speakers themselves?

      Red is usually the right side and black would be left side. So you should have two reds and two blacks then, a red and black for the front and a red and black for the rear. I explain how to connect them starting at 8:00 in the video. You don’t have to solder the connections, you can crimp them but i like to solder wires like this that are not easy to get to. Good luck

      I installed new speakers in the front and back previous to installing this amp and i made videos for installing those too. Just search my channel and you'll see them.

    what’s a filter on the power wire ? how do you do this? thanks

    • @LoFiMofo
      @LoFiMofo  3 года назад +1

      If your getting a humming or buzzing noise through your speakers as you accelerate it’s likely coming from the alternator. A filter connected inline with the power cable to the stereo will eliminate the noise. There’s RUclips videos on how to do that. Good luck.

    So what about the factory amp? Did you have to take it out.

    • @LoFiMofo

      Denver Staib there was no factory amp , just the head unit. Monsoon system is different though but mine was the basic head unit.
