Be'lakor, also called the "Dark Master" and the "First-Damned," is the first Daemon Prince ever raised up from mortality by combined will of the Ruinous Powers. Ancient beyond imagining, Be'lakor was the very first of his kind. Granted his dark apotheosis by the combined will of the Chaos Gods as Chaos Undivided, he was given a portion of each of their power. Be'lakor's fate has ever been influenced by the endless struggle between the gods, as he is beholden to each of the Dark Gods equally.
At first, Be'lakor used the jealousy of the Ruinous Powers to gain their favours, never completely swearing his allegiance to any one of them. For a time, the gods fought over Be'lakor as children might squabble over a favoured toy. However, they soon realised the folly of combining their might into a single vessel, as Be'lakor proved nearly uncontrollable.
They soon began to raise up new Daemon Princes, each god choosing only Chaos Champions that would be loyal to them, and them alone. Be'lakor remained the strongest of the Daemon Princes, though his might was diminished as the gods spread their power among their other servants. Nevertheless, Be'lakor remains a master of shadows, moving behind the veil of history to exert the will of the Chaos Gods upon the universe.

Good episode, but I'm a bit sad you excluded the story of Ku'gath Plaguefather, the other named greater daemon of Nurgle. Once a nurgling, he accidentally fell into Nurgle's cauldron, drank all the Forget-me-juice, and grew into a massive Great Unclean One. Nurgle just thought it was funny, but Ku'gath is sad that he caused the loss of such an excellent plague. So he now travels the galaxy searching for ingredients, trying to recreate Nurgle's original recipe. He goes into battle on a massive palanquin/laboratory carried by a swarm of nurglings, which he occasionally picks up, force-feeds some plague juice, and yeets at the enemy.

Firstly, it was Tzeentch who stoked his ego so he thought he could turn on Khorne
Secondly, in many tellings, when Skarbrand attacks Khorne from behind, the reason why Khorne is so mad at him, isn’t because he betrayed him, Khorne loves violence. He exiled him because Skarbrand dared attack Khorne while his back was turned instead of head on.

However when he began to ignore the chaos gods, he was punished and lost his physical form, reduced to a shadow (literally). He's since tried multiple times to become a chaos god and is forced to crown the Everchosen (Fantasy's equivalent to a Warmaster of Chaos) each time one would be found by chaos and each time he tries to stop this or become the Everchosen, it fails

The 1995 model was around for 20 years! If you wanted to make a Skarbrand model you'd have to be well acquainted with a Dremel drill. I always thought Be'lakor was the ascended form of Morcar the Uniter, 1st Everchosen of Chaos in the original Warhammer setting. Not sure if that was ever true, just my head-canon interpretation but always made sense to me they'd be vague about it if so because Morcar is also the main antagonist in the original Heroquest lore (at least here in Europe)

I took it as he didn’t do anything remotely close to 40 standards today but rather the gods in the earlier stages had lower expectations, I mean considering they actively worked together to ascend him before they just starting pumping out greater demons for themselves.

It's a shame that Belakor didn't have a more unique look to him, because when I think of a servant of chaos undivided I imagine he or she having four arms representing each dark power and having equipment that reflected each, but when i look at Belakor all I see is a fizzled out belrok from Lord Of The Rings and it's kind of disappointing.

In Warhammer 3, you can play as the Demon Prince, going around and claiming power from the different chaos factions to gain enough power to try and overthrow the Chaos Gods. He attempted to fight them off once in his early years, but was cast down (defeated), crashing into his tower, where he sat in contemplation for a long time. Too bad you guys don't play the Warhammer games, you'd be SHOCKED at how many similarities there are, and then wish the Skaven were in Warhammer 40k as a bad as tech race.

I believe Shalaxi is a relatively new character who was brought in to bully the Eldar, particularly the Ynnari. If they're the greater daemon I'm thinking of then their lore is not the most popular among Eldar players having beaten all their greatest champions (excluding the avatar of Khaine but that's not an achievement). Otherwise they really like killing bloodthirsters and beat Skarbrand once.
