Great content, always learning something new from your video! Never knew that Arteons didn’t have fog lights. I hope you and your family stay safe and healthy!
Wow really great walk through Reese! Wish I lived in nearby, hopefully towards end of this year I'm looking at a certified 2019 of one of these 😁 love your videos!
I've seen a lot of reviews on this this car, but you showed me a few options that I didn't know this car had. I'm impressed. I'm considering getting this vehicle early next year. I'm also interested in the 10 year 200,000 mile warranty.
Thankyou for doing this review. Hope this will be my next lease after I turn in my chvy impala. A strong point for me living in the snow belt is the 4 motion. No more doing the electric slide on the rd on my way to work.
It’s the bacc of a Benz YALL don’t kno cars and it shows the whole bacc lights and all look jus like the newer benz s550 or the classes tht look like tht Benz lol learn YALL cars
Reese once again great review. 2 questions for you about the Arteon? 1.) Does it come in that burgundy and black interior color 2.) I see there are a lot of blank buttons around the gear selector. What other options are available? Anything sport, exhaust, ride height or extra tech (a la self parking)?
@@vwguru Not for nothing, but, the former warranty coverage was probably one of the best (if not the best) out there. VW just shortchanged itself on one of their best selling points and probably is playing the numbers game, the regular maintenance cost coverage is minuscule compared to what it would cost to cover the major drive components in case/ upon failure.
@@vwguru it’s literally the same thing they just call it a different name you use fog lights in poor weather I’m a VW tech I work on these cars a lot the salesman and service advisors don’t know everything
They are essentially side lamps that illuminate ditches, curbs etc., that are in the driver's peripheral view. They perform like cornering lights would.
Neither the normal wheel base Tiguan R nor the Arteon R will come to North America. What Reese said is also true (we get watered down version. I mean if you take a look, only the Golf R sold here is made in Germany)
I admit this is a cool car, Sport Car, a fast car, but if it were a 6 cylinder car it would be cooler and 3000cc with this turbo the car would be very cool
I understand that completely. VW in my opinion, isn't bothered by it because they own the luxury brands as well. If it sells it sells, if not, they are still cashing those checks from Ducati, Porsche, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Bugatti.
mreyes14404 The premium VW cars in Europe are top quality compared to other mainstream german cars and sell quite well other here. American seems to be brand blind that s why you guys don t get many good cars from europe. Many of Audi and other VW subbrand parts and instruments are designed by VW engineers not to mention that Audi use VW platform.
Even the A4/A5 doesn't have a power steering wheel. I have an A6 as well and it doesn't have it. It's a funny feature the Germans seem to miss. My Jaguar had it!
I wish my GTI had Dynaudio instead of fender 😕. I have Dynaudio floorstanding speakers at home and their sound quality is so clear, it sounds like the artists are singing right in front of me. you don’t get that with the fender system, they’re cheap speakers that have been rebadged. only thing they have is good bass..
The Dynaudio system in this is better than the Harmon/Kardon in the facelift Arteon. Dynaudio isn't very well known in the US, but they make very high-end speakers that are very popular in the rest of the world. They're the Bugatti of the speaker industry
It's nice but they miss the mark in a few areas. I'm not going to pay 50k for a four cylinder car. There are some great (slightly used) A7's available for the same price. The blank switches around the shifter don't look good, they could do better.
@@vwguru that’s what I was thinking from looking at other models shown in other countries, but at the price you pay for what you Get you can seriously Get a s8 for a bit cheaper that’s used and a few years older but looks much more impressive
I have a 19 Arteon and I'm not impressed with it. the built quality is awful. EVERYTHING rattles in the interior! I mean everything. I have already pulled the door panels off and put sound proofing in. the ride is incredibly rough with the 20" wheels. Turbo lag is very noticeable. Transmission in lower speeds seems to not know what gear it wants and I'm surprised by the this since it's not even a CVT. iihs rated the headlights poor and that is evident driving at night. I traded in my 2017 Passat Rline which was rock solid even after 50k miles with no rattles and 15k cheaper. I hate to piss on this car because it looks great and but for this price point I shouldn't be having these issues. I was patiently waiting for this car to debut in the US so I can purchase it and what a disappointment :(
There's only one thing bad about this car : the steering wheel. European models have much better steering wheel. It just doesn't match with this car...
The Audi style and sophistication without looking like you’re trying to show off. Love it.
Awesome vehicle! Come get yours!
Maurice, I must admit I am IMPRESSED!! By you, I mean. Great product knowledge & presentation.
Thank you Ed!
this is the best car i ever had, 10/10 would recommend
Awesome!
53 years old and my voice still changes. I felt that bro 💯😂
Thank u sir for making this video. I've been looking for the 2020 arteon in America for so long. Stay safe. Salute
Thank you!
Man I'm an Acura guy, but I like this car, & Volkswagens are known to be fast

The rear reminds me of the CC.

Beautiful car and Great review Reese 👍🏼👏🏻
does this take regular or premium gas?
Are the dynamic front and rear turn signals no longer available with the 2020 model? I know that the 2019 model offered it.
Not available on the 2020. You might be able to add them through OBD-11.
@Daniel Hernandez correct, they did not.
Beautiful car and great presentation. What are the engine specs?
Great Explanation you speak to the point. Thank you for the video

Is this volkswagen arteon made from germany or china? The Vw arteon of north america?
Germany.
@@vwguru ok thanks
All this car NEED is a VR6!
Enough to make easy 310+hp vr6 would be a wet dream right there 😉

buy an A7

Four year, 50K warranty?! What happened to the Six year 72K warranty on the 2019 model?
They changed it and added 2 years free maintenance

Arteons do have fog lights they are the middle lights towards the badge they are level with the headlights I know this because I have one
They are not called fog lights, they are called poor weather lights or all weather lights. Foglights are always separate from the headlight assembly.

How much this car for Lease
I read that the high performance 330HP version of the VW Arteon is coming out next year, but it will not be sold in the United States. Is that true?
Most likely it won't. The US models are always watered down.
Neither the normal wheel base Tiguan R nor the Arteon R will come to North America.
What Reese said is also true (we get watered down version. I mean if you take a look, only the Golf R sold here is made in Germany)
The simple solution is to chip the vehicle, quick bump in hp. This engine can achieve 300+ easily
They have many chip tunes you can get for this car. APR + tune pushes the HP north of 340.
@@Thor570874 371hp on stage 1. More than any stock Arteon R.

I have never seen one.

Is the full spare only on the sel premium Arteon or all trims?
Yes, just the SELP.
Great looking car. But steep at 50k. At 50k I have a lot of solid options. Not sure if VW would be my first choice.
I understand that completely. VW in my opinion, isn't bothered by it because they own the luxury brands as well. If it sells it sells, if not, they are still cashing those checks from Ducati, Porsche, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Bugatti.
Its got incentives. Similar to the A5 Sportback on price. Just comes down to which 2 of those you like more.

I’m kinda shocked that with all the features it comes with, the steering wheel isn’t powered...

I agree with you but I don't think anyone would buy it in the states because the first thing anyone would say is that it is priced too high.

Good point!
The screen in middle with vents lower rather than versa vice. Would require less downward look.
Vw is just so sleek.
They are.
No Homelink? Disappointing in a 2020 car.
So I'm assuming VW renamed their fog lights "All Weather Lights". Allegedly.
They are completely different than fog lights.
