You've produced/released a LOT of GREAT videos but this may be the very best one you've ever published thus far. I really appreciate that you did an instructional video for the advanced player audience! Thank you for all you do!
Your wife is becoming a very accomplished player in her own right! Great to see you both doing these instruction videos. I always learn a lot. Thank you both.
@@BrionesPickleball ok do you feel you come in to the kitchen committing to one shot or the other or do you feel you have time to switch form contentinental to eastern
Hi i was wondering if you have any video on when you're at the kitchen line in singles. I am a 4.5 player i have a problem when i get to the kitchen line. I do great when they drive the ball but when they drop the ball i just don't know what to do. I mean like a good drop can't drive or roll volley.
How about a paddle review sometime , is your paddle a Engage?, so many paddles choices, so confusing , I have an Engage Pursuit EX 6.0 and I wrap my paddle handle for a better grip, thanks for another great vid!
I look at these as trick shots. Tricks shots are fun and addictive. Unfortunately I think they lead to bad habits and more mistakes then winners. For example, I kept trying to do ernies for months not practicing the basics of the cross court dink instead . Fun video but very few should try these shots.
This is why I said this video is specifically for advanced players. If you don’t know how to hit a consistent dink or drop, you shouldn’t even be attempting any of these.
@@BrionesPickleball seems like you could convey and demonstrate all this information in about 3 minutes. Will help your engagement tremendously. Thanks for the effort anyway.
Thanks for the comment Matthew. For content creators like myself, the platform usually dictates the length of video. If you follow me on TikTok, I have videos there that are less than 10 seconds long. For RUclips, analytics like watch time (calculated in hours), and other factors are important to them, which is then important to me, lol. So this is why most successful RUclips channels have videos that typically range from 8-14 minutes.
Okay, there were many fewer "okays" in video. At least at the beginning of the video, alright. They ended to pick up with the addition of a lot of "alights" added toward the end. I was able to make it all the way through this video, alright. But wouldn't have if the subject was less interesting, okay.

You should sell some merch. I’ve learned so much from your vids; I’d rock a shirt or hat
Thanks! We will soon!
I love this video, maybe your best yet. All these shots look achievable, except the Jumping Dumping Erne. 😎
Haha 😎
Great information 👍 thanks Jordan!
Np Jill!

Hey Jordan! What are some tips for transitioning from tennis to pickleball?
There are some good ones, I hope to make a video on this soon!
I play golf and watch golf videos mde I like the 3 minute clinic
👍🏻
Thank you for sharing, great information. Question: What is your grip level on the trick drop shots... Is it 5?
Probably a 3-4 because I’m hitting the ball fairly soft.
@@BrionesPickleball Thank you!
love to watch your video, so grateful to know you have your channel, thanks so much.
Marvelous!
👍🏻
Hi Jordan - what grip are you using when you’re doing these deceptive shots on the forehand side?
- flick
- lob
- dink
Flick and dink-eastern
Lob-continental or eastern
Erne-continental
Fake smash-continental
@@BrionesPickleball love the video man! Are you also using eastern grip for your volleys too?
The Fake Smash 💥 is bomb!!!
😎
Thank you.
Np !
I love the fake smash/drop. It's lethal. Why do you think it is not used more often in upper level play?
It’s a lower percentage shot to go for. Higher risk, although higher reward.
Did you switch to the air vanguard tyson paddle? if so, how so you like it?
I use the power air and the 003
Great tips!
Thanks Bernie !
Thank Jordan
Np! 🤙🏼
7:13 Damn....Couch is gonna feed good tonight!!
Lol
In that forehand flick your not really putting topspin on it right? So is that continental as well ?
I am, I’m in an eastern grip
@@BrionesPickleball ok do you feel you come in to the kitchen committing to one shot or the other or do you feel you have time to switch form contentinental to eastern
I have time. If you prepare early and split step, you will have time.

Thanks Mike!
when both opponents are back, I like a fake lob but cross court
👍🏻 nice
I love the look of your drop-shot Erne, but didn’t you just return a shot that was going to land outside the court?
No, they are high attackable balls that are landing in.
Good question. I was wondering that myself but I think at least 1or 2 balls were definitely out.
Lol
LOL - Poor Katrina, she's a good sport😂
She is 😊
Great

I've been hit by many flicks.

Can you make a 3 minute version of this video?
I can… but I already made this one. Lol
Just watch the 3 minutes your attention span allows.
