I would have never passed on Trey Benson. Brotha is going to take that RB1 spot and roll with it. Conner is a dinosaur

It's within the range of possible outcomes, especially when you consider James Conner's injury history. I'm perfectly fine with someone taking Benson at his current cost, even if I personally have very little exposure to him. Below are my notes on Benson from my rookie rankings.
"🟡 POST-DRAFT NOTES: 66th overall selection-high 3rd round pick-in the 2024 NFL draft is solid draft capital. Not likely to make much noise in year 1 behind James Conner-a fellow 3rd round pick, albeit from 2017. That said Conner has never played 16 games in a season, meaning Benson could be a popular waiver wire pickup at some point in 2024. More importantly, Conner IS entering his age 28 season and final year of his contract with the Cardinals, tentatively penciling Benson in as the team's RB 1 to kickoff the 2025 season. Of course, a LOT can change by then-Conner could resign, Arizona could sign a free agent or draft a better back, etc.-and it's not like Benson was a screaming ""must draft"" before the NFL draft began. He's fine and there's SOME upside at the NFL level with his combination of size and speed. But he's never profiled as someone who's going to take the league by storm.
PRE-DRAFT NOTES: *Could* end up the best RB in the 2024 draft class, though that's not saying much. Big back with speed he shouldn't have for his weight."

I was shocked a team like Dallas passed on drafting him. Him or Braelon Allen, both would have fit perfectly in a Cowboy offense. I still am really excited for Benson in Arizona though and i think if any rookie rb is going to beast, it's him.
