    That interior is brilliant.
    I just bought an old Ensenada 20 which needs a bit of a redo and you have given me a number of ideas.
    Can you post and drawings/materials list/other info on construction?

    Beautifull Boat! well build…
    How long are berth and how much is the distance from seat to the ceiling? (sitting headroom)

    • @ronjesche689
      @ronjesche689  5 лет назад +3

      The berths are about 2 metres long ,and sitting headroom about 900mm. Most people I have had on board don't find the sitting headroom any problem and very comfortable for lounging around.

    Have any comment between this Cape Henry 21, Cornish Shrimper 21, and Norfolk Gypsy 20?
    All have similar layout, lift keel, inboard diesel, four berth, oven, sink.

      I think Dudley Dix designs are more refined from a sailing point of view, also CH21 can be home built from plans and cnc kits .

      G'day Philip, I have a 10hp Nanni. If you want to discuss I am at Lonsdale. Stainless Boatworks.

    beautiful creation!
    How long for the construction?
    did you make the modification of the inboard engine or was it in the drawing? thanks

    • @ronjesche689
      @ronjesche689  3 года назад +1

      The build time was almost 2 years.
      I modified the design to suit the diesel instalation it is not in the plans. I am very happy with the diesel however,there are some nice electric pod drives and lithium batteries that look interesting.

    • @emanuele9911
      @emanuele9911 3 года назад

      @@ronjesche689 the electric motor is a nice idea but really too expensive for now. what do you think of the
      bilge keel version? to have more internal space.

    • @ronjesche689
      @ronjesche689  3 года назад +2

      @@emanuele9911 Yes the electric motors are still too expensive.
      I like the bilge keel version, but it would be more difficult on a trailer .
      I don't find the centreboard a problem. I am the Australian agent for Dudley Dix design, if you email me at ch21sealion@gmail.com I am happy to answer any questions.

  • @БорисТрапезников-н4о

    Hello. Tell me please what model of engine you use for that boat? I want to build Cape Henry and must make a decision about engine type. Thanks.

    Nice work! As I understand, the original outboard motor well doubles as drainage for the cockpit. Is there still drainage with the inboard diesel mod?

    • @ronjesche689
      @ronjesche689  4 года назад +4

      Yes, the cockpit now drains through the transom. It works well, and very happy with the diesel modification.

      The boat is a bit too small for a built in head. There is a portable toilet in a cockpit locker.
