14:01 You redeemed yourself from the first time on your pronunciation. It makes me happy hearing you reading Spanish. Well done! OXXO is a big convenience store in MX.
Such a great mod! As someone who previously lived in Mexico for a couple years, I can say that the details are pretty spot on and the traffic at the border, as you mentioned, is also true haha! Glad to see some of the other details like stores very well known in Mexico like OXXO (OKSO in game) and BodegaAurrera (BodegaAhorrará in game) being added as well. It's really great! Looking forward to seeing more of this and thanks for another great episode! 😃
Fun fact: on Interstate 19 in Arizona (south of Tucson and near the US-Mexico border), the signs there are actually in metric instead of imperial. However, the speed limit is still in imperial for some reason.
Heh, that is interesting. I wonder how that happened. I remember a long time ago there was a half-hearted effort to switch to metric, but it died a quick death.
@@ZillaBlitzPC Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what happened. I think they put metric signs on I-19 to try and push the USA towards metric, but the thing is, it wasn't required, so they just left all the other roads imperial. It's also like this on I-19 in ATS.
I'm up in New England and the roads are terrible from the winters. If you don't have that black tar filler on the road, something is wrong. We don't have potholes, they're actually tire and rim killers. Plowing is brutal unfortunately.
My pleasure! You are a top class human being, sir! And I'm really excited to see where you go with your ETS2 career. Even if it's a few episodes, I look forward to following along. Be careful, though, before you know it... Episode 100. :)
Ooh I’ve been waiting for this episode! I’ve also just downloaded Reforma for ATS and am following your journey as closely as I can in my own new save. Can’t wait to see Mexico 😁
Oh, fun! I did notice that there were only 2 jobs in the city we just arrived at, both of which take us back towards the US. But I imagine it'll get better as we add skills to our driver. We'll figure something out. :)
@@ZillaBlitzPC Fingers crossed! I got lucky and picked up a job from Caborca round to Nogales, but waiting on you to get deeper into Mexico before I venture further than that 😁 Also I love your object permanence argument at 24:25 - your honor, I was not looking at the cars therefore I did not hit them 🫡
I might sleep in Mexico once to let the jobs reset to see if something different pops up. I think I might need to sleep anyway in the game. And yes, I'm not sure a judge would be happy with my logic. :)
I really do love the Reforma mod. I actually recently started a new playthrough and put my starting base in San Luis Potosi right down at the bottom of the map to force myself to explore it.
25:33 I wish we could just get out of the truck and walk around the lot to see where's the location of the drop is, I know you could just enable the developer mod menu, but I don't feel like doing that. Great job.
That was fun, Ai drivers in a world of there own and a parking attendant with poorer eyesight than mine, very generous. I won't enter comp as I rarely use steam, have subscribed to custards channel.
The AI drivers really seem to be struggling at intersections and with merging now. The logjams are more frequent, the world is clearly ending. :) Thanks for visiting Custard Prophet, coyi. He has some fun tennis and Football Manager content too. And he's a top human being. :)
Doing 63 in a 35 zone in Ajo, SOOO lucky you didn't get caught! ;-p Ah, when it goes to 25 you DO slow down! And not to disappoint, you then get a fine for a red light...sigh. ;-) Do Not Back Up. After he ignores the STOP sign. ;-p So yeah, the sign REALLY wasn't going to help if you had decided to back up! ;-) LOL--someone is cheering us on! About the drivers--if the extra skills came with extra salary it would be an interesting decision, but as it is, take the ones with the most skills since he should always be able to find some sort of job, right?
Wait, you're telling me that Stop Signs are mandatory? Who knows this stuff?!? And yes, the most logical choice, an easy one really, was to hire Daniel. I was hoping for more interesting options, but we've only discovered 3 recruitment agencies. Maybe the next time we do this it'll be more interesting. :)
Idk if you have a traffic density mod installed or not, but the roads look barren. I recommend installing ATS Real Traffic Density 1.47-1.48 by Cip on the steam workshop
Hi Mike I'm well impressed with the Mexico map, very tempted to start a new profile, but when I see the hours I have spent on my original save, it makes sweat lol. But who knows in the future!!
Hi Mike I have created a new career with promods installed and keep thinking about it, maybe one day. It's the thought of all the hours I have spent getting to level 70 on ETS and level 60 on ATS, plus about 65 achievements on both. Looking forward to you doing some convoys too in the future.
I hope you had a nice vacation! You might want to still enter. I haven't heard from the winner yet, so we might be redrawing. I'm going to give him/her a few more days then pick again if I don't hear from him.

Thanks! The first time definitely was "English brain" speaking. And thanks for the information on OXXO, good to know. :)
is that hard to spell out for mexicans or is there a natural slang? o equis equis o?

Oh, that's great to hear, thanks! I'm really excited to explore the country. I hope our truck has the power to handle it, but we'll soon find out. :)

Yeah, we have the same sorts of things here in Minnesota. Our roads generally get fixed pretty quickly, but March/April in particular can be nasty.
OKSO is a parody of OXXO which is a convenience store in Mexico.
Good to know, thank you!
Wow. I'm absolutely blown away that you'd do that! Thanks so much!!!

Their documentation states that you need all the DLCs yes. I think that's because they use the map resources from the DLCs in their Mexico mod.
