Ok. Biggest mistake you all are making is that you use way too many products. 90’s glam, chic, “in” looks didn’t have so many products. 90s makeup was the epitome of “Less is more”. Here’s an example. Your eyeliner was the Maybelline with the red stick in the color black was your eyeliner AND your lip liner. We never, ever wore red lipstick. It was pinks OR a red lipstick w/ a brown or Black eyeliner which made it look burgundy. Eyeshadow. 1 color. That’s all. Nothing else. Silver was MATTE. We didn’t see Metallica until the Bad Boy/ Missy Elliot / Foxy Brown Era. You all are getting it all wrong!
I agree I’m 21 and I watched the older women in my family so their makeup and this is exactly how they taught me. LESS IS MORE
What sort of things did you guys do for foundation and blush? Been trying to figure it out. Actresses look so simple yet so naturally pretty in 90s movies. Julia Roberts, for example
@@s.r-mariem9233 Hi there! Lipstick. Yep. Lipstick. We seldomly used blush because of the harsh blush abuse via the 80’s. So, what we would do was to find a lighter pink shade with subtle red. Take your pinky finger make a tiny dot with it and blend. Natural colored cheeks. Now, peach colors would be the modern look. A sun kissed, blushed clean face.
It worked. We embraced our imperfections. That’s the difference between now and then. We knew beautiful wasn’t perfection. We didn’t strive for it. That’s why we didn’t have to try to hard. Now they do.
Maybe for common people in the 90s? But supermodels had makeup professionals and they definitely DID use more products.
