- Alex Morgan, an American soccer star, was left off the U.S. Women's National Team's Olympic roster for the Summer Games in Paris. Morgan, who has 224 caps and 123 international goals, was considered a borderline case to make the squad. The U.S. Women's National Team's first soccer Olympic game is scheduled for July 25 against Zambia. Morgan's absence could have been due to her age, Hayes' efforts to rebuild the team around youth, and her ankle injury. She has scored 22 goals in NWSL play in 2022 and seven last year, but has not scored a single goal for her team, the San Diego Wave.
I believe 'they' will rue this decision. This could really blow up in 'someone's' face. She brings a lot of experience and leads by example. But of course, nothing will silence a cynic more than winning.

As someone that is of Spanish blood I can authorititavely tell u that "leadership" is NOT what makes a winning team. That's societal authoritarian conditoning. What makes a good team is their capacity to work together, think fast and take action WITHOUT being led. If a team can't think for themselves and have to wait to be led, they will be overcome by their rival players.

This weekend Morgan shot a PK for her team against Chicago FC, Her ball was just SAILED SKY HIGH just like she would do for … last two years!!!
She is OLD NOW, slow, award, inflexible and simply unable to playing like she used to!!! So let her stay home IS THE MUST.

She is too old to be anymore good like she’s used to be, okay??? So let it rest, get over it and forget about it once for good that Morgan is or not to be with USWNT anymore. She should be retired now to save her dignity knowing she’s no longer the goat for USWNT anymore.

She’s no longer a great player she used to be. Slow, awkward, stiff, unable to score and low energy have been the norm for her last 2 years.
