I know a lot of people dont like this build but i like seeing all varieties of building. I hope to become a welder, auto technician, and get my own shop and make videos like you. Great stuff man keep it up.
Working on the floor like that will destroy your back, neck and knees -true story. You will not notice before it's too late. The roof rack looks awsome -keep up the good work!!!
Gingium I've been watching your videos since before you got rid of your gaming channel and you've always been genuine and have come a long way I'm super impressed with how innovative you become. You taught yourself how to work on all your own vehicles as well as your shops. Keep up the good work love your vids and your music!
I really like this van, its going to be amazing, some front and rear metal bumpers and some other stuff and it's going to be the most amazing and unique offroader on youtube
Mud panda is coming along super nice. You're doing really good figuring out how to do everything and using the viewers to help out. You can't make everyone happy so if u like a project stick to it and stop worrying so much about what other people think. You're super original on your builds so keep it up 👍🏽
All the comments below are so great, and I agree with almost all that I read. One thing I didn’t see anyone ask was whether or not the hatch opens?!? If it opens fully with ladder mounted the way it is, I was gonna say you did a pretty bang up job. Mud Panda has caught my attention for sure!
Great job! Now, in order to be able to open the hatch, what you can do is, cut the top end welded on the roof, and lower (cut) the end of the top reducing its high up to allowing the hatch to open. To do this, again, by eye balling cut about 5" from the welding on top, down the side tubings, try to open the hatch slowly without hitting the roof with the side tubings (cut them as necessary so it opens all the way up without uninstalling yet the ladder but just by cutting the top sides. Now once you're able to open the hatch, is time to give it a finish to your top ladder and compensate middle rung or step. My suggestion, if you like it is, create a bent pipe with two 90° on its extremes that coincide going down to the sides of the ladder (maybe you have to cut the sides more down since the top of the ladder will reach up from the welding on the side tubings, and may hit the roof once opened the hatch). The top step may be around the top of the edge (in high) of the glass of the hatch, or even a good 5" lower yet, since from that high you'll be able to climb to the racket. Making the top about 5" lower than the edge of the glass, meaning the ladder will be actually smaller, will bring top rung closer to top welding in middle of the hatch, the closer the end to a welding, the stronger it'll be. Then simply move the middle rung (step) between top and bottom step. And weld the ladder sides to the highest point you can to the middle of the hatch. And if you want to make it even stronger, add two more central weldings to the sides. All you got to do then is just not abuse of the top but use it to climb carefully and it'll last for years to come (because the angle is bent forward is perfect for the pressure it'll receive on its use)! Hope you like my suggestion so you'll be able to use your hatch opened. Or and, you can make another ladder on one of the sides, but I don't want to spoil your back ladder, is too cool to spoil it. Search in your area, here in Miami there's a place where I was able to get a 8' x 4' diamond grill sheet I used to make covers for the interior of my van windows that are like impenetrable for thieves. It cost me like $67.00 I think a surface like that which is like a good 1/8" is pretty strong even to walk over it but, it'll be stronger if you weld under it some tubings every 6"-8", e/6" it'll be super strong.
Gingium next time you use a welder make sure you wear a long sleeve shirt so that the welder don't give sun burn that's why most welder wear long sleeve shirt and long pants
To be honest. Being a viewer since 2016 and watching gingium grow and improve has been such a cool experience. From amateur to pro, the journey has been quite cool and i cant wait for what happens in the near future! Keep up the good vids ging.
I like this project. You know what else I like, that rally Miata steering wheel. I really wish he could see these comments so I can BUYIUM the WHEELIUM!
The Mud Panda is really growing on me. I’m hoping this kinda becomes an adventure van/crawler/ Jeep thing. I don’t really find mudding that fun, buts still a cool build. Good on ya Ging!
This car looks awesome. Was a little skeptical at first but once you get a front and rear bash bar to match the roof rack, clean up the rust, and change the paint, it’ll look great.
Welcome to the Welding club! Don't feel bad about the sunburn - I recently welded together a friends exhaust using my oxy-gas rig and had the same issue. Didn't have my mask, couldn't find my jacket, went full "Embrace the suck" and rolled my eyeballs on the beach. Back of my arms caught the worst of it from holding the torch behind me (So I wouldn't need to relight it), but it's a nice reminder of the value of a "Shop Hoodie" ;)
I feel like the mudpanda deserves a permanent home with you. I love how it looks. It is so original. And it's a problem child but I think it's worth keeping!and you need initial d writing on the panda! Keep up the good work!
I read on Wikipedia that if you remove the driver seat and some panels you can access the spark plugs. I saw that it has a solid rear axle, maybe a locker will fit in there or just weld the diff for more traction. Keep up the good work
As a future tool suggestion, you should pick up a compound miter saw and a metal cut off blade. We used 3 dewalt compound miters to build four, 12 bale tipper trailer my senior year of highschool. Before that we did pretty much what you did (except on a bench) and we could barely make 2 single axel utility trailers
Tip: Insted of using sand you can also use long pull springs (those are used for garage doors for expl) to avoid these bumps. You can get them in various diameters. It's an uncommon technique but works great. just dont forget to put lub on it and connect it with a strong kord or something to pull it out after bending.
I don't know how or why but I woke up to this video playing. Keep up the good work my boi !! Really love these build videos, you inspire me to be creative with fabrication 👍🏻!
I've loved watching your knowledge grow on all of your projects, and I honestly feel like I've been learning all this with you! Great work, Gingium! :)
a plug on eah end. Like a think rubber bladder you fill with air or a rubber plug. Fill up 1 emd then the other. Seals it up. Just drain the air and pour the the sand back out. Metal work is one hell of a learning curve On a side note, hang a chain dangling step below the ladder. Itll never snag and it something does hit it, it just moves...
Gingium i swear your audience is one of the most loyal on youtube, there are people with over twice as much subscribers but half the views, just wait gin ur gunna blow up soon
Man Dingo except for the fact that they are all miata loyal. Like the rx7 and the van all got so much hate and drama. Some people don't want to see new things sadly
New cars will bring new audience so its all good, i think the only thing that has kept the audience "small" is the fact that he keeps working on mazda cars especially miatas.
Alex Livingston yeah the bus has been a good investment for the channel as well as personal gains (experience etc.) But the van has been more important for the personal gain as it was never going to be a nice car..
Know you really struggled getting motivated with this build. So glad you ditched the mad max / apocalypse idea. Really enjoying this build now, feel like you are too!
Last episode you said you will off road it and junk it. I think this is a bad ass build! Don't junk it😀 your giving this panda a new life! fix the brakes and change the plugs!
Very nicely done. You got the hang out bending and notching extremely quick. Next time you should get some thicker tube steel though. Also you can buy bundles of 20 foot tube steel and in the long run saves you hundreds of dollars.
Your welding has come a long way. Good job with the roof rack. With the exception of the mystery coolant leak, the mud panda seems to be running much better. It actually sounds like an engine now! I like the idea of the initial D theme too.
when using the hydraulic bender...you can measure the distance the die comes into the upper structure...it has helped me more efficiently build some cool projects knowing this trick.
I feel like rather than scrapping it entirely once it breaks, either sell it off to someone that wants it or turn it into a complete offroading monster. Its a rare car that should be preserved, even if it means turning it into something its not lol
1. This is getting so much better every episode, those videos are so funny to watch 🙂 Keep on going! 2. Can you still open the trunk? 3. What about rear door? As far as I remember they don't open since you lifted the car.
great job first time out.. save yourself some time on tube .. mark center line on both ends.. then cut (2) 45 degree cuts meeting in the center as a v.. when you spin is it will match the tube your trying to weld it to .. no more using grinder to match tube
Put a few cans of seafome through the intake and gastank of the mud panda, you'll definitely feel the difference with two spray treatments into the intake and a can in the gas tank for the injectors
I think the Bleepin Jeep channel posted a video a few weeks ago about making a frame out of tubing. They set up a jig with a hole cutting drill bit so that the pieces would match up easily.
Been here since project fred and the forza 6 vids, the videos are only getting better glad to see you havnt sold out or but less effort into your videos
Paint the top half black (windows up), add two more steps to the ladder and like someone else suggested, add a "mud panda" decal in Japanese lettering.
Have "mud panda" in Japanese lettering with an initial d style
alxatllg gaming YEAHHH
alxatllg gaming yes
YES
Best idea ever I need your smart brain lol

Take the snorkel from the rally miata and put it in the panda van
GRYZLER mid engine tho
Gro Skunk fabium will find a way
GRYZLER side exit snorkel
New snorkel, rally Miata looks empty without one
just put it for show
Im really liking this project. Its very original!
I genuinely didn't like this project when it was being started but I think it coming along very nicely keep up the good work
GeorgeKush I knew he was going to turn it into something awesome
GeorgeKush well this serise is supposed fund the awd swap for the rally Miata bc most of this build is sponsored.
Nice name
If you do actually paint it the AE86, bring some tofu with you!
Nice, you watch Gingium too.
Deoxide I definitely agree with you
Ayee deoxide
Deoxide ELLLOOOOO!!!
Oh hey, didn't expect seeing you here
I know a lot of people dont like this build but i like seeing all varieties of building. I hope to become a welder, auto technician, and get my own shop and make videos like you. Great stuff man keep it up.
Nice. I'm thinking that it would look a bit better with two more steps on the ladder.
Jason yeah two more steps would fill the ladder out nicely
Yes for the Initial D AE86 paint :D
Gingium deserves so much more subs.... He puts so much work and quality into his vidoes. He deserves respect.
Screw all the haters that didn't like this project! I absolutely love it!
Yeah!
Working on the floor like that will destroy your back, neck and knees -true story. You will not notice before it's too late.
The roof rack looks awsome -keep up the good work!!!
The roof rack makes the build look way better. Awesome job with the fabrication!
This is the exact car I've been dreaming of making for years!!!!! Awesome!!!
Gingium I've been watching your videos since before you got rid of your gaming channel and you've always been genuine and have come a long way I'm super impressed with how innovative you become. Awesome job but man oh man it kills me watching the squating, up and down. I remember when I could do that all day too!!!!
Mud panda is coming along super nice. You're doing really good figuring out how to do everything and using the viewers to help out. You can't make everyone happy so if u like a project stick to it and stop worrying so much about what other people think. You're super original on your builds so keep it up 👍🏽
Nothing better than a new video showing up when I get off work 👌
Dude that is the coolest previa I’ve ever seen! Can’t wait to see the finished product when you off-road it!

This project is sweet. It’s awesome to see new and original builds that have never been done before. Keep it up!
DONT GIVE UP ON THIS PROJECT KEEP WORKING ON IT PLEASE THIS COULD BE REALLY COOL LOOKING
To be honest. Being a viewer since 2016 and watching gingium grow and improve has been such a cool experience. From amateur to pro, the journey has been quite cool and i cant wait for what happens in the near future! Keep up the good vids ging.
normally dont like the bus videos but i like this one. maybe cuz ur learning welding
This thing looks pretty cool, would love to see more builds on this.
You should paint some of the parts with truck bed liner, it would strengthen the thing dramatically and help fight against some of the rust
Cheap build that's 7 dollars a can and the cans don't last at all
dylan young Well your not supposed to use the cans to do it lol, buy the two big cans and mix them together and use a cheap spray gun
You learning how to weld made your channel a lot more interesting keep up the great work!
Dude you did a really good job. This project is really growing on me now!!
Things i'd suggest you invest in would be a welders jacket and a welding magnet :) Would help a lot.
I'm starting to really fall in love with this build. You really can transform any piece of crap into a masterpiece!
I like this project. You know what else I like, that rally Miata steering wheel. I really wish he could see these comments so I can BUYIUM the WHEELIUM!
Hey kiddo, in the future, use a hole saw bit to notch your tubing... and its called flash burn...
The Mud Panda is really growing on me. I’m hoping this kinda becomes an adventure van/crawler/ Jeep thing. I don’t really find mudding that fun, buts still a cool build. Good on ya Ging!

This project is so sick. Props for being one of the most creative car RUclipsrs out there man. Keep it up! You're like a one man mighty car mods. Lol
I closed off the pipe with old newspaper to keep the sand in ;)
love the build!
Homemade roof rack? Toyota Estima? Soundtrack featuring Veela? A person of culture and exquisite taste! :D
mount the spare in the back along with the ladder
TECH TOP 10 100% agree
mig welding with a t shirt on.. real smart
This is going to be the coolest before/after pictures.
Good video my dude! Very informative:) and your welding skills get better and better!
do you record his videos these days
Troy whenever I can I help out yeah:)
I really like this cool project for its originality and creativity.
Fill the pipes with sand and cap them off , it stops the creasing and denting. Just a little tip I've learned over time in the shop
Thank you for being one of my favorite RUclipsrs, and always inspiring me!
They are called rungs , if you were wondering. Great vid man.

actually made me crack up after the first bend. "What are those!"

I don’t care what car you are building I always love it
I don't know how or why but I woke up to this video playing. Keep up the good work my boi !! Really love these build videos, you inspire me to be creative with fabrication 👍🏻!
Three “rungs” of a ladder. Nice work gingium.
I never thought I'd say that, but your Mudpanda is sick as hell.
You should use the battle van in a demolition derby! That would be sick!
"How do you keep the sand in the pipe, itll just fall out" gingium is unaware of the invention of duct tape
Mattaywho_____ The idea was cut it to length first. It's quite a common way of keeping the tube from denting.
it's a pretty thin tube. It wouldn't take much.
Duct tape on the end works to hold in the sand.
Next garage upgrade should be a nice metal work bench! And some welding magnets.
Major progress. Lookin' forward to seein' a test drive.
I've loved watching your knowledge grow on all of your projects, and I honestly feel like I've been learning all this with you! Great work, Gingium! :)
I like the name "Mud Panda", because it fits the Initial D Decal, plus, the AE86 in Initial D is nicknamed "Panda Trueno"!
a plug on eah end. Like a think rubber bladder you fill with air or a rubber plug. Fill up 1 emd then the other. Seals it up. Just drain the air and pour the the sand back out.

Allu and having to listen to the people constantly complain about it is making it a less of a fun time for him

One of my favorite videos yet. You are progressing so rapidly. Loving the content!
who remembered the time when gingium was gaming? xD
1. This is getting so much better every episode, those videos are so funny to watch 🙂 Keep on going!
2. Can you still open the trunk?
3. What about rear door? As far as I remember they don't open since you lifted the car.
This thing is beginning to look sick. Also, I really admire your workflow dud.
Mmmmmmm welds that sound like bacon
Spool Life what kind of bacon do you eat?
The ladder looks really nice!
great job first time out.. save yourself some time on tube .. mark center line on both ends.. then cut (2) 45 degree cuts meeting in the center as a v.. when you spin is it will match the tube your trying to weld it to .. no more using grinder to match tube
add fender flares and a wheel next to the ladder it will look awesome!
You should get the letters U and M so you can put it on the end of the PREVI badge and make the PREVIUM
You've got some engineering skills 👍
Gingium i wanna see badass cars from you, mad skids and street racing
Superb video as always Caleb
So SICK!!!! Also, rungs...ladders have rungs
Put a few cans of seafome through the intake and gastank of the mud panda, you'll definitely feel the difference with two spray treatments into the intake and a can in the gas tank for the injectors
i would love the initial d paint !!!
I'm in love with your previa it's dope
First ladder and roof bars, fkin awesome
I love it XD the ladder might look better with a couple more rungs if you ever came back to it
I think the Bleepin Jeep channel posted a video a few weeks ago about making a frame out of tubing. They set up a jig with a hole cutting drill bit so that the pieces would match up easily.
It was my birthday yesterday and today I'm going to go fly in a Cessna 172 I already have 15 hours In that plane model
Been here since project fred and the forza 6 vids, the videos are only getting better glad to see you havnt sold out or but less effort into your videos
The car is looking really nice and cool!!!
Paint the top half black (windows up), add two more steps to the ladder and like someone else suggested, add a "mud panda" decal in Japanese lettering.
Super cool man I’m really impressed with that!
Looks dope man!
Great first creation
how does he not have angle grinder merch it's literally his star tool
I dont think that door on the back is gonna open with that roof rack. Lol.
Pablo Reyes Which is funny cuz with the huge rear wheels blocking the sliding doors there's no other way into the back
I think you should do the initial d thing but instead write ジンジアム (or gungium) on the side
