I think hyenas are super cute! I've always loved their little satellite dish looking ears!
The key is trade routes, I think. The philosophy, plague and sludge ages all give really massive bonuses if all the other cities import the special good.
Hyenas are doggos made of catsthings! They are by definition cute! (Same with vultures, who are smelly but absolutely smart and lovable birds!)
here to agree hyenas are so cute!! especially the pups omfg, those lil beasties. also the hyena icon was cute!! what were they thinking??
Fyi you get stars/apex rewards for completing calm eras for the first time as well.
Hyena pups are really cute, but some old hyenas are really ugly too.
focusing on gold in the sage city so they can potentially import the sludge may have saved this one. the inventor city gets gold based on the total population with access to sludge and importing the sludge boosts population by a lot.
you didn't get the science from the birch tree because the destruction of all the food biotica made the taiga's biodiversity drop too low, so the birch went dormant.
when i did this one, i ended up with a desert that could still host food - is it random what gets polluted or are deserts just un-pollutable?
I just did it and I got a rainforest that could host food up until the city imported the sludge. Then it became polluted, so I suspect that's what's going on.
