It's not really the same. The 5500 has about 10-30% more frames in games at low res. In my country they cost the same - $110 for both. So the choice is obvious.
@@Jackassik In Germany the 4500 costs 72 Euros and the 5500 97 Euros, both with VAT, cooler and Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Game Collection. It would have been a shame to throw away all 5500, 4500 and 4100 Ryzens, they all had defective IGPUs as far as I know and got used as CPU instea of g-model APU.
@@hartmutdietz1228 I think he said that because AMD sold it at 129$ at launch and for that price it was a great disappointment, but right now at 80$ with Uncharted included that is a lot better of a deal
i don't get it. Watching the gameplays i saw that nether the CPU nor the GPU seemed to be getting utilized 100%. Yet at Battlefield with a 3080Ti it barely managed over 60fps average on 1080p. Even if graphics were on Ultra surely a 3080ti can do better than that. So i have to assume the CPU was the issue but at the same time the CPU wasn't getting fully utilized. My assumption is that the game uses less cores than 6 then and it just pushes 4 or 2 cores to the max or something while letting the other not very utilized. So i turn to watch individual cores to see but the hyperthreading makes that hard since i can't see each of the six cores since they appear like 12. Some threads seemed to be more utilized than others but never constantly over 90% or anything so i am really puzzled.
OKay i'd like to see this Ryzen 5 4500 vs the old dogs you know i7 2600/3770/4790 up to i7 8700 just to see how they hold up and it holds up to the i7 8700 in 2022/23
Don´t teach the uninformed and watch the opinion of Gamers Nexus, lol. Of course you are right and Budget Ryzens are an absolute bargain and no intel generation can compete with it, when you consider the board prices(and maybe even DDR5 ram prices). You can get a 5600 + B450 for less and + a B550 for about the same as a 12100f + B660 and you can overclock, underclock, overvolt, undervolt..... the AMD chips very easily with a cheap board. Ever tried to overclock a non-k intel cpu?
Not significantly for OC but you can set Dynamic Vcore 1.275v and OC to 4.15Ghz. I got scores 100 points different in Cinebench R20. Stock little higher scores but more power consumption. Stock : Almost 90w, Temp. 83°c OC : Almost 70w, Temp. 73°c HSF : ID COOLING SE-902 Mobo : Gigabyte B450m S2H BIOS : F60 Memory : GeiL Orion 2x8GB XMP 3000 Mhz actived.
Both are decent budget options, but the i3 12100(F) is significantly better than the R5 4500 and substantially better in lightly threaded games like CS:GO and most E-Sport games.

This was a great benchmark video! Thanks man!
For 4k gaming the differences between the CPUs are much much less and even more much less when you don´t use such a very powerful CPU like the 3080ti.
In my Country, Ryzen 4500 is under $110 and Ryzen 5500 is $153.
Ryzen 4500 vs Ryzen 5500 performance?
Identical.

Way worse than an i7. The i3-10100 is pretty much a i7770

im switching to ryzen confused between 3600 ($68.5) 10m warranty and 4500 ($70) 10m warranty .... board is B450m
pretty same performance, just get which is the cheaper one
Z490/590 with this cpu? are you serious?

with a rx6600 u will see no difference
Ryzen 5 4500 looks bad on gaming because didn't benefit from the pcie 4.0 like other cpus
10 gen intel is pcie 3.0 though!
