I absolutely love these videos. Your boat is really beautiful. I'm glad Dave filmed you as well because often your boat doesn't feature under sail as much as it deserves.
We had a Cherry 16 for several years, recently sold it as the family had grown too big. Lovely boats, easy to handle afloat and ashore. Make sure you can and do lock the centreboard down, quite a few have capsized. They come up dry, but not if the board retracts. Also, they plane very easily once the breeze is up.
Thanks Aaron, yep Dave is going to put a lock on the centre board and will probably do a capsize test once he's done some work on the boat.He also has a Heron which he sailed in this upcoming adventure.Stay tuned , Cheers Paul
Well done Paul and Dave. What a great edit. Initially I thought it looked like you were just going to do a walk around and talk about the Cherry 16 in the carpark but it just kept getting better and better. Sailing, camping, swimming, waterfalls. Awesome. What a great little boat. I didn’t realise you could sleep in the sides of the hulls. What a great idea. Won’t be making it to Jarvis Bay sorry. My sons got us locked down in iso. Tuesday is our day of freedom. Happy sailing. ⛵️

Paul, Thanks to both you and Dave this video inspired me to order the Cherry 16 plans yesterday. Love all of your movies. Retirement just a few years away, so now I have a plan
Great John, where are you? Are you going to join us? The cherry 16 is a great fast little craft, I've now seen 2 or 3 and there is a second one joining the group so keep your eyes peeled, cheers Paul
I live just north of Brisbane. Did a bit of time sailing out of Clontarf on the Redciffe Peninsula. My stepfather had a Hartley 16 my daughter and I refurbished until his son sold it back in the early 2004. So now I'll retire to the Visayas in the Philippines in 2026 and live the dream. Thanks again for the inspiration and keep up the great movies from Kurranghai Chase. Watch out for the Scotty island ferry
G'day Robert. Start with Google & try sailmakers Thailand. The Rolly Tasker Sails, Wichit,Mueang Phuket District is a branch of the Gladesville, Sydney company. Also another called The Sail Loft in A. Thlang Phuket. Both should have information about local chandeliers for the vessels hardware and good hardware stores to buy marine plywood. I'm buying my stainless fittings from Whitworths @ Newstead a bit each month. Due to limited overseas posting policy. Maybe Amazon or Ebay works for you? Best of luck. John
Yep Bruce very light, Dave still has to get to know her in stronger winds but she has everything , lots of room, 3 yr old sails and a new trailer a deal he couldn't refuse.

So the wife doesn't know yet?
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: (Acts 17:30)
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. (Psalms 51:1-4)
