You can be a zombie developing software, thinking you are good when you can code a tiny calculator, real software isn't a calculator. Cyber security is fun, it can be easy to learn or easier to learn, and more importantly it's fun to learn. The choice is up to you though, ethical hacking and defending devices from hackers sounds a lot more fun to me than being a zombie building software for days.
@@Discover-Hidden Website development seems kinda easy and fun to me lol. I also enjoy cyber security a lot, website development is more of a side job or freelance to go ontop of a job. 😂
Just read the latest attacks and prepare for them. Not hard. But the biggest threat are the users. These people are usually very dumb. Even CEOs get hacked easily.

Both are important especially when you start getting deep into cyber security.... i went back to a 54 day bootcamp for Software engineers after my second cyber security certification.
I prefer coding and building and protecting cuz it’s my software I will design cuz interest in web and mobile development plus learning new language programming and earning certifications that are worth to earn

In coding you dont need a cert. You mostly need a bach degree or an associate degree and a portfolio of project. Often the portfolio is most important than the degree but the engines at employment sites might be setup to filter out people who dont have a degree. Ideally you want to have both. If you are a teenager try to create projects with your coding. Better yet, learn cyber sec skills and try to get the certs if the age limit allows you. At least you could enter through that and then jump to coding.
Neither Cisco CCNA and CCNP make the same amount of money but its strictly network 👏 with very little i mean extremely little coding and does not require to learn a single language
Coding is programming, so building programs and, well, software. Scripting is different. Scripting is when you use a scripting language such as python, bash, powershell, etc. for repetitive tasks. One real example, you can write a script to open youtube any time you turn on the computer.
Exactly I just graduated last month from a full stack so her info is wrong. Coding and scripting has the same reference. Python/Java is software engineering. That is included in my curriculum
Wrong!!!! No certifications are needed for keep learning new things or make yourself improved, it's definetly habitually need a passionate to move forword on cybersecurity.

In context, she is right. Jobs wants the certificate even if you know the new and have an expired one. Its becomes a legal matter once an exploit is in the equation they need to blame or fire someone.
If you do software and coding first it makes cyber security easier from my experience
Is IT basically coding ??

i think cybersecurity

Hi how did you get on with this?
How has that gone?
Don't want to go after any more certifications. All I want is advice getting experience. No experience has been locking me out

Certifications wise, do private certificates from ( for example: 7-14 year old coding workshop, Programming webs ) really qualify for a job?
Certs look good because most people who are hiring for these type of jobs have no technical skills at all.
