I was lucky enough to find a Calistophylla at a local plant show/sale this past weekend.. I love it so much! I've been thinking about this plant ever since I saw yours!!
That’s wonderful…congrats!!!! It’s a striking plant for sure!!! You are so lucky to have a plant show to go to. I need to research plant shows in my area….would so love to attend one 😊.
Thank you!!!! Oh no!!! So sorry to hear that. Callistophylla is one of those that makes me nervous because I don’t yet feel I really know what it needs. Mine does fine so far but I’m constantly keeping an eye on it in case some funny business starts happening with it! I hope I get a lot of growth out of it this year like I did last year. I also hope you can get your hands on another one soon. Thanks again 😊.
@@promiserodriguez7553 I get those at a local garden center/nursery here in Colorado. They are super handy and the perfect size for my shelves. They also have the option for ventilation at the top of the clear plastic hood. I highly recommend them if you can find them.
Love all your little babies so much and your set up is so nice.. my sunrise had 3 rotted leaves today so I should look at the roots like you said....my Callista....I got a three leaf cutting last summer and it never has done well for me but its roots dried out so I have it in a perlite box to root and stabilize it hopefully....and I do have the rotunda....and it does have new growth but no vining yet....but so far so good with that one....oh I do have the ovata too! Love dischidia so I should take a cutting for back up.....I have no social media but would love to sell my cuttings too....I would love to know who sells local on facebook but maybe it is a good thing I don't! Ha ha you would do well selling online I imagine....as long as it did not stress you out...there is alot for it but maybe enjoyable too.....exciting!! Love your new cabnit you got too in last video! Thanks for sharing! Loved it!
Thank you!!!! Plant keeping really is a live and learn situation. Like my Rotundiflora, I didn’t realize it liked more water than a lot of Hoyas and after being too dried out and stressed for too long I almost killed it with water kindness. I “think” I now have it figured out and I at least know what to look out for in the future. I hope your sunrise is ok! It’s either too much water or not enough water. Such a fine line! At least it’s fairly easy to save a plant if you can catch the problem early enough and definitely always have a backup cutting of your favorites. Thanks for your very kind words 😊💚💚💚.
Thanks for subscribing!!!! Since these propagations are kept in an enclosure I don’t have to water that often. I just water them when I see the sphagnum moss is looking dry or almost dried out. Some plants that might be every couple of weeks, and some might be once a month, or longer. Thanks again 💚💚💚.
Yes! That’s an excellent idea and something I have been doing. I have a giant bag of pillow stuffing to reuse lol. Recycling is always an excellent idea ☺️.
I love seeing the babies thank you for sharing
