If you want to increase the top speed of your Xiaomi M365 (PRO) scooter or to have better acceleration, you have to flash a custom firmware.
Since the procedure is simpler now compared to how it was when I made my last video on this topic ( • 🛴 Xiaomi M365 🛴 - flas... ), I decided to make this video to show you how it's done.
I’m going to use a classic M365 that was updated to the latest available firmware, which currently is 1.7.1, but the procedure is the same for the Pro, only the firmware file is different.
You will be using M365 DownG (play.google.co...) to flash a custom firmware that you will create on m365.scooterha... (for the M365 classic scooter) or on hackm365.com/p... (for M365 Pro).
Wow that was so easy! New version of DonwG works like charm. Just flashed my Xiaomi pro directly from the latest 1.7.1 to 1.5.5 Gonka without needing to downgrade BLE. 👌 Thanks for this great tutorial!

Wow... i have standard m365 but had problem xith power switch so replaced it with a pro dashboard and now xiaomi home recognises it as a pro versinn algthough it didnt make it any faster wasnt sure which patch to use so decided to try your pro patch. Was quite easy didnt change much except that 37000 bit and the russian algorithm thing (wasnt really stre what else xou changed not very clear) And it worked AMAZINGLY the speed is a great improvement i now have to ease off the acceleration every now and again as it is going too fast when i would usually be at full throttle and needed more speed. It even climbs hills alot better used tn have to use foot to help it up big hills but now it will get up. I cant thank you enogh you are agenius THANK YOU SO MUCH

Hi, just wanted to flash my m365pro via downg but if i press vheck version it will start showing temperature, batt remaining, volt.and it won't stop so i can't open the bin.got esc 0171, ble 0125, bms 0126. Got a m365 dashboard v2 soldered to the current one and installed rita with 12s battery.do you have any idea how i can flash my scooter in the current configuration?thanks in advance

I’ve just got my Xiaomi pro, guess the big question is, how safe is it to change the firmware. What if anything can go wrong. I’m not the most computer savvy, when you start talking about changing this and that, I’m worried I may mess up and destroy the scooter.
Also what are the cons for lifting the speed restrictions, do all the modes still work, how much distance would you loose.

Well, any firmware update/downgrade might go wrong, not only on scooters, but it's usually going well. In case it doesn't go well, there are relatively easy to implement solutions to restore everything to how it was initially.
All modes still work, but I can't talk about the range because it was never a problem for me and I never measured the range.
There aren't any real cons if you don't use too aggressive settings.

I just didn’t want it to brake or go wrong before I’ve even hardly used it, but might give it ago as uphill can be quite slow and would like to see the difference.
I strongly recommend flashing a custom firmware, but only after researching the matter a little bit.

Hi Paulie. Thanks for the feedback. I'm recording using an old Sony Alpha A58 camera and the built in microphone is so noisy that I have to apply a lot of noise reduction in Adobe Premiere and I think that this has the side effect of increasing the echo feeling.

Nextor, how long have you been riding with custom firmware? I have made a log with m365 tools and in sport mode it goes up to 810W when having 31-32 km/h. Is it safe? How much will batteries and esc last in this mode?
I used it for about one thousand kilometers, all with custom firmware. No problem at all and I weigh 120 kg.

Victor Ungureanu yes this happened to me I flashed my scooter then if I span the wheel on my Xiaomi pro it would go 35 kph but then when I rode it the motor locked up and stopped working then I had to take it to Xiaomi and they have had to replace the battery , motor and the control board so you have any idea of how this could of happened thank you

@@nextor11 i have settings as follows. esc 2.2.3 ble 1.1.0 bms 1.2.6 it does 35kmh but i feel could have some more torque. its not much better than my old 365

You flashed the wrong firmware. You either have a Pro scooter, either a classic scooter with Pro dashboard. In any case, you should flash a Pro firmware.

You need to flash DRV155. If you can't do that using DownG or XiaoFlasher, you will have to do this:

I successfully downgraded it but i am curious if i can reupgrade it somehow in the app it says "error" and in the service they said it will cost 100€ to repair the damage the downgrade done
You should be able to update using the Xiaomi Mi Home app.

hey m8, after using the guide and changing my cfw i then noticed my front brake comes on way too hard and tries to throw me over the top. i have had help in trying to reset back, home app never does nothing so tried defaults on the 365.botoz site etc, and other cfw but we cant get rid of the issue? any ideas or is it a controller issue etc?
The flashing works great, but if i use your settings the speed is 32kmh, but the acceleration is really slow.
There must be something different in your custom firmware settings compared to mine. I have very good acceleration.
Did you use Russian throttle algorithm? Are you sure you're not in ECO mode?

Got a friend with 1.5.8 firmware on M365 and I cant flash DRV. BLE and BMS I can flash on any version but not DRV. tried both Xiao-Flasher and M365_DownG
M365 DownG is v19? What does it mean that you can't flash drv? Does it fail with an error or does it look like it's flashing ok, but in the end the version remains unchanged?
@@nextor11 Flashing and it the end the version stay unchanged (0538 version )
0538 doesn't mean that it's unchanged. You enabled version spoofing in the custom firmware and that's why instead of 138 is showing 538.
He updated with custom 138,drove some weeks and accidently updated the latest 0538.
I tried to rollback to older versions DRV with all BLE, BMS from xiaoflasher. No result so far
Don't check the "version spoofing" option when you create the custom firmware and you'll see that it will go back to 138

I have a classic M365 since last year and most likely this year I will change the stock firmware. BTW, can I go back to stock and use the Xiaomi app to flash the newest firmware if I don't want the modified firmware anymore?
Yes, you can go back to stock firmware by using the Xiaomi Home app.
yeah hack not work for me. on classic on 1.5.1, no option to upgrade. all steps same as yours and no change to speed or cruise control 3 seconds etc as below i dont get the option to press button on scooter etc...

You need to use Pro DRV and BLE firmware from now on.
@@nextor11 the ble didnt work to update when I switched to pro dashboard but the bms worked so I used this morning the pro custom firmware and worked it installed but didnt try it yet because outside is raining...do I need to install and the ble for pro for 100% sure or I can rule with the old ble from old dashboard?
If everything is working OK, don't worry about the ble. If the Pro dashboard is not original you can't write the ble firmware over bluetooth anyway.

Bateria și motorul sunt ok. Cel mai frecvent apar probleme la controllerul motorului, dar asta doar când sunt folosite setări agresive.

E cel mai bine sa studiezi tu problema și să înțelegi cam ce rol au acei parametrii. Monitorizează temperaturile înainte de a pune firmware custom și după. Orice modificări faci, fa în pași mici.

I have the impression that you are mixing pro version numbers with classic version number. Maybe, I'm wrong, but i know that ble124 is for classic M365, while 090 is for Pro.

on 1.7.1 doesn't work. I did everything step by step, but after the downgrade, the speedometer and battery lvl stopped working, S mode disappeared. Tried it 2 times, but still same.
You are not flashing the right drv firmware. You should flash a Pro drv firmware (ver. 155).

It should work, but if it doesn't, you can always do it using an ST-Link programmer.

Hey so my scooter is stuck on the battery lights after trying to flash. It is a double fuse. It can connect to Bluetooth on the m365 app, but not its own app. Any advice?

@@nextor11 I had to disconnect the battery and reconnect. With your settings on my m365 (not pro) it's going to a top speed of 17 mph. Is there any way I can get it higher?
Try flashing bms 115, ble 072 and then check the speed again.
I have the pro version and after the hack now I don't have the sport mode and the battery indicator does not work.
That's because you flashed a firmware that's meant for the classic M365 scooter, not for the Pro.

I have followed your procedure but my DRV does not change from 151 to 138 after patch :/ do I have to upgrade to 171 to downgrade to 138 or is something else going wrong?
No, you don't have to upgrade to 171. Try flashing using a different phone, maybe it helps. Also, try to flash using XiaoFlasher.
this doesnt work, no option to press powerlight button and nothing happens so going to your old video and downgrading ble
If the ble version is old enough, then M365 DownG won't ask you to press the button.

This sadly doesn't work for me. I have a brand new Pro with version 1.7.1. The app says the flash has been successful, but then nothing changes with the version and the ride remains the same with the same speed limit. Any ideas....? Thanks!
I don't know why this is happening. I heard other people having this problem, but I'm not sure what is the solution.
My Pro was updated to version 1.7.1. and i used this method to hack it and it only worked with russian throttle algorithm activated, it removes the speed limit (its still hard locked to about 34km/h with full battery) and i think it increases power limit to 750w to the motor in sport mode even if i dont change anything in the power settings.
The speed settings are bugged probably since they dont do anything.

Nu va atinge 35 de km/h fără sa adaugi celule la baterie, dar 32 ar putea atinge atunci când bateria e încărcată la 100%.
Nici pro nu trece de 32
Mie nu îmi place accelerația cum e in modul S vs firmware original, in cel original e mai puternica deși nu ajunge la 32 km/h
De autonomie ce părere aveți ?
Mie pe modul D, limitat la 20, nu mai reușesc sa scot autonomie mai mare de 25 km, am reușit cu firmware original sa scot chiar și 40 km autonomie
Autonomia este foarte puternic influențată de temperatura bateriei. Dacă ai avut 40 de km autonomie la 20 de grade afara, la 2-3 grade situația va fi foarte diferita.

I understand that the iOS app is not very good, but I didn't test it myself. I would say that it's a but risky to use it.
Can I upgrade the display on the classic to the pro and then upgrade the firmware for more power?
It used to be the other way around. First put a Pro drv firmware on the classic and then replace the dashboard with a Pro one.
Hi nextor ! After doing all that was explaining in your video, my scooter's battery suddenly got depleted. it was 80% before, have no idea what happened trying to charge it up right now. it did that after flashing bin... any idea what did this happen. it is impossible to discharge full battery in 1 min and it was not even being used....
The firmware you flashed is not for your scooter. You probably have a Pro scooter and you flashed a firmware that's for the classic M365.

That mode is not "crazy Russian", but "Russian throttle algorithm", so there is nothing crazy about it.

Ok so I’ve downloaded the downG app. Went online to m365hack website and selected the application that I wanted to change. I hit patch at the bottom and it warned about downloading and damaging the scooter. I continued but no download popped?? I went back into downG and looked in downloads and could see the zip file was there but no information in it. If I select the zip file it tells me it’s invalid with no information on it
I guess you selected zip v2 as output file
Hi, after i tried to hack my m365 pro i received a new firmware version V5.5.5 and nothing happened with my scooter, i mean same speed and all like the original version settings. Why i have received this weird version number and why i can't hack my scooter again. I did something wrong with the flash program or what? I updated with Xiaomi app to the latest version and after that it shows the same 5.5.5 version. How can i flash the firmware back? Many thanks.
You have version 5.5.5 because you enabled version spoofing in the custom firmware. Create a new custom firmware, but leave version spoofing unchecked and you will have version 1.5.5 in the end.
What settings did you use when you created the custom firmware?
@@nextor11 I have fix the problem! That was completely true what you said, i had the spoof enabled in the custom firmware before . I simply unchecked the spoofing and write again a new over the previous firmware and...boom all is perfect now, working like a charm! Thank you so much for the great valuable advice! Greetings!!!
With the Pro version do you need to adjust the Speed mode, Drive mode and Eco mode or can I just tick Russian throttle?
It's your preference. Do what you like best or try both ways to see what suits you best.

That's happening because you flashed a classic drv firmware instead of a Pro firmware.

Yes, the recommended base firmware versions are 1.3.8 for the classic and 1.5.5 for the Pro

You can flash a custom firmware without downgrading the BLE, but I would advise you to downgrade the BLE anyway.
@@nextor11 So I did a downgrade to BLE90 and flashed custom rom, it didnt worked first i flashed with spoofing and got 5.5.5 version, second I did without i got correct version but still no speed increase, any ideas why? I was able to install gonka from spzshop and got 30km/h, from what I heard 35km/h is max, any reason why first 2 times didn't worked? could it be because I didn't adjust Motor power constant?

Using your settings in firmware, will it not fire the control or mother board? Have this been tested?

My settings are quite conservative, so they are generally very safe, but it also matters how heavy you are, if you are living in a very hot place, if you have a lot of hills to climb, etc.

I think there was an iOS version of M365_downG, but I heard is not very reliable, so I wouldn't recommend it. You better borrow an Android phone from a friend.

Salut. Eu am mers numai cu kers-ul dezactivat si nu am avut nicio problema. Chiar din contra, autonomia mi-a crescut si scooter-ul merge mult mai lin, fara smucituri.

Hello there! I am also living in Romania, and would like to ask you a question. First, i would like to thank to you for making this video and to tell you that the trick works. BUT, there is always a but. I have the Scooter Pro version with 1.7.1version. If i check patch on sport and drive mode and raise the speed, it does not actually affect the max speed. If patch on sport max speed or d max speed is checked or unchecked, in russian throttle algorithm it does not take into effect speed control param, as it is also writenn on the web site. How could i still limit the speed then but raising it to 30 in sport and 25 in normal drive? Best regards!
Hi Marius. I don't have a Pro to test this, but I think you need to leave Russian throttle unchecked and change the currents in sport mode, plus raise the speed in sport mode.
@@nextor11 I havent changed anything in currents because i would like to keep away from real problems with my scooter. I am not that technical to even understand those changes. The thing is that with drive normal speed set to 25, with Russian throttle off, it still goes with 20. So there are no changes whatsoever, even if i think it should be.
@@nextor11 With russian throttle on, i managed to enter in cruise control in a very strange way, after 30-40 seconds of trying. And after entering cruise control, the scooter does not remain at the same speed, because i guess the throttle is "fixed" not the speed. So that's another downside of russian throttle.

I hate to recommend it because it's "stollen" and the actual developer of the firmware get's nothing in return for his work, but maybe it helps you.
@@nextor11 seems that in S they are going for russian throttle mode. So i will skip theese italian firmwares. I have seen here someone commenting about the gonka fw, witch i downloaded and seems ok at first sight. It's a pity the m365pro.scooterhacking.org/ is not doing his job correctly :( At least i would have known what is changed from "standard". I repeat myself, i would not like the battery and engine to be forced too much. Some little increase in maximal speed, without working at acceleration or currents.

Not reset, but update the firmware using the Mi Home app.
Resetting to factory defaults is not going to replace the custom firmware.
Hi I’ve got a regular M365 my ESC: 0151 BLE: 0081 BMS:0123 why isn’t my versions the same as yours? I’m stuck and need help as my scooter is capped at 15km/ph :( I wanna flash it to 30.
Maybe I forgot, but I don't remember seeing ble 081 in any original Xiaomi scooter. The same for bms 123.
Try to flash ble 072, bms 115 and esc 138.
Victor Ungureanu I’ve flashed it earlier and previously I was capped at 15km/ph for some reason now I hit around 27km/ph from custom firmware :)
When the battery is fully charged, you might reach 30+ km/h

You didn't flash the right drv firmware. You flashed a firmware that's meant for the classic M365, that's why the battery meter is not working anymore, as well as drive and eco.
So I must down grade my firmware 1st. Mine is new 1.7.1 then I will downgrade it to get the ble 124

Are you able to get an M365 up to 34kmh? I can only get 27kmh or 17mph. I remember reading it was safe to get to 34kmh but im still aways off.
I didn't think any M365 is capable of 34 km/h without increasing the battery voltage. Many of these scooters, but not all, can reach 31-32 km/h when the battery is fully charged.

I have bms :115 and ble 72 ! What do you mean does it work with it or would I have to change it! I've tried everything possible, I don't know why, but mine never drives faster than 27 km / h.
bms 115 and ble 072 are very good. You also need to have drv138. Make sure that the battery is fully charged. The scooter can't reach 30+ km/h if the battery is bellow 85-90 percent.

Create a custom firmware based on 138 and flash it using M365_downG. No other steps required.

Yes, you got it right. One more tip, don't check "version spoofing" (if this option is there) when creating the custom firmware.

Yes, now it's possible to flash a custom drv firmware without downloading the ble firmware, but I would still say that it is a good idea to also downgrade the ble.

Hello, the first time i tried to flash custom software following this video, it succeeded. Then I tried it again, because I found I didn't have enough power and it said it was done but it didn't go faster anymore. Also, the version changed to 538 for some reason. Then I tried it a couple times more but it doesn't work as the firmware settings tells it to work. I also tried flashing the bluetooth firmware (like in your previous scooter video) and then flashing it again, but that didn't work either. Also, the firmware version stays on 538. What can I do to be able to flash it again?
The version 5.3.8 is actually 1.3.8 with version spoofing enabled. At this point I don't know what to suggest other than using an ST-Link programmer to flash ble and/or drv firmware.

Normally you can get the standard firmware back by updating using the Mi Home app. The problem is that you enabled version spoofing in the custom firmware and your firmware version now shows as 5.3.8, so Mi Home doesn't think it has a newer firmware version so it won't give you the option to upgrade.
If you really can't flash a firmware without version spoofing enabled using DownG or XiaoFlasher, then the last option is to use an ST-Link programmer like I explain in this video: ruclips.net/video/aGCCmvfTRXU/видео.html
Victor Ungureanu I probably accidentally enabled version spoofing so if i try tof flash it without version spoofing nothing seems to change. I will try it with xiaoflasher, maybe this works.

@@razokpipoca9240 I went from ESC 1.7.1 BLE 1.2.2 BMS 1.2.6 to ( just to try, ESC 1.6.6 BLE 1.1.0 BMS 1.2.6 ) and finally ESC 1.5.5 BLE 0.9.0 BMS 1.2.6 using XiaoFlasher and its firmwares. Android Phone. No error at all.

The version number is not changing because you enabled "version spoofing" when you created the custom firmware.

It worked already, you just don't see any change in firmware version. Anyway, if you uncheck version spoofing it will be obvious that the firmware flashing was successful

Hi Victor , I accidentally flashed my pro with the procedure for the classic now my dash display only displays 0 speed and 1 red battery bar. I have tried redoing the process with the m365pro. scooter hacking file but the display remains the same. I've also gone back and updated the original firmware from the mi app but the display still remains the same, any ideas, please?
What versions is M365_downG reporting when you click on check versions?

Drv 538 is not right, for sure. It seems like flashing a Pro drv firmware didn't succeed. Also, ble 122 doesn't seem right. I don't remember this firmware version.

Use the xiaomi home app and do the software upgrade there. I don't know if it will 100% work
Didnt work, DRV is still 538. Can flash BMS and BLE without problem.
Download, xiaoFlasher for m365(pro) Nineflasher. From the play store, download a zip from m365pro.scooterhacking.org/
Uncheck the spoofer box, download the zip and flash it with that app. Then try xiaomi home again see if you can upgrade firmware. Again not 100% if that will work. That whole process should only take 5 mins

Make sure that the battery is fully charged. Try with Russian throttle algorithm on and off. It should work eventually.

Hi. I changed my screen to a Pro screen. I done the steps mentioned and everything works perfect. However the I can only use ECO or Sports mode. Anyone know why the normal drive mode doesn’t highlight or work. Also when accelerating the speed is slow then it picks up

Nextor yea correct. It’s all working and the battery is fully charged etc. Not some reason the D mode doesn’t work. I used the pro firmware also.
I was thinking that maybe you didn't flash a Pro drv firmware, but if you're saying that the dashboard is showing the battery level correctly...
Nextor do you think I should do the procedure all over again. The reason I don’t want to use the S mode because it will drain the battery. I done the steps you mentioned today and haven’t done a long distance travel as yet. Am also thinking of going back to the M365 dashboard and not using the Pro one.
First decide which dashboard you're going to stick with. Depending on the dashboard you have to use a specific drv firmware.

I think you flashed the wrong firmware. You flashed a firmware that's for the classic scooter. Connect with DownG and check versions, the tell me what firmware versions do you have.

It's not mandatory, but I would say it's good to also downgrade the ble.
