This is Ron. It was a pleasure meeting both you and Sky! Thank you for the kind words and I'm finally doing a bit better with the driver. Great video and wish you the best of luck with RUclips and especially in the Good Good tournament coming up. And if you’re curious, Matt is unbelievably nice in person.
Always love the private club tours but was hoping you'd get around to courses that your average recreational golfer could actually play at a reasonable price. Great video. Looking forward to more!
@DM-il1hf Never said it wasn't. Said I love his private club tours but glad he's now doing courses the average golfer can play at a reasonable price. Maybe didn't read that way. Happy fairways!
Question for you Matt - I notice you are using your vessel bag on this video. Do you ever worry about the cart strap messing up the leather? I went on vessels website and bought the leather strap to protect the bag…had a $500 Callaway Rogue stand bag that got ruin because of the golf cart strap so I didn’t want to take any changes..
This video helped my wife and I decide to fly out to Phoenix and play here over the Memorial Day weekend. We’re also going to play TPC championship course. You might want to check out he Walker course at Clemson university. Great course. We live in the Atlanta area and played it this past weekend. Keep up the great content!
I'm so mad about this video...When I first lived in Arizona I lived on Pennington Drive, about a 5min walk from Dobson and I played there ALOT. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Kilt Lifter...and now I'm living in Kentucky so I really miss playing golf in AZ. So...thank you for the awesome memories in this video...but I'm still mad :-) hahaha j/k'ing...GREAT video!!
Courses some regular people might go to: 9 hole Pottowattomie Park Golf in St. Charles, Ill. Peninsula Park golf in Door County, WI. Once you see Door County you’ll know. Go in the Fall.
Just saw this video Friday AM , found out 2 hours later I have to be in PHX for work the weekend of the WM Tournament … so call Dobson Ranch and playing a round Sat morning - thank for the recommendation. Love the channel.
On my last business trip to Tempe.. I stayed like 5 minutes away from Dobson.. so I went by just to check out the course and facilities. Really impressed.. in fact I'm taking my clubs with me on my next business trip out there.. I plan to play Dobson at least once (maybe twice) and also hit Dinosaur Mountain Golf Course and maybe it's sister course Sidewinder.. my goal is to play a round on arrival day (Sunday).. and an afternoon round every day M-Thur before leaving on a Friday.
UGH, this makes me miss AZ and Dobson Ranch. I used to play there when I was a teen into my 20's. I live in New England now and I'm feeling nostalgic watching this. Thanks for posting.
Welcome to one of our many home courses here. Dobby is 100% as advertised. Great people, great vibe, and a fun track that isnt a lay up nor a ball buster.
This is my home course live around the corner, new owners have done a great job and they remain affordable. They are known for their junior program. Reave, Homa and other pros can show up any time.
DR has the best sliders, I highly recommend them! Plus, nicest staff in the industry, especially Jeremy in the golf shop, great kid and great customer service by all! Them greens are truly tricky...
The video is spot on. The staff is always super friendly and cool! I first met the gm donating some clubs there. Really cool guy and I'm sure he's behind the "cool" at dobson.
Played Dobson numerous times they have really tried to be golfer friendly the last few years. The range is always busy but well maintained, putting green is very decent and the course can be dry at times but greens are in good condition lots of us Canadian’s play here. They do try to keep you on time and friendly staff that in courage a fun time never had a bad experience here! Bonus Beer reviews “Who knew”!
Glad I'm not the only person that has to write names and descriptions. BUT I have to do it when I'm talking to them. Looking forward to the new series. Thanks for your contributions to golf and my game.
My four affordable public coolest golf courses in the USA are Stumpy Lake in Virginia Beach, Twin Valley (Donald Ross front nine, Gary Player back nine) in Wadesboro, North Carolina, Oak Hollow (Pete Dye course) near Greensboro, North Carolina, and Aiken Golf Club (Bryan Bros played there lots) in Aiken, South Carolina. Looking forward to your other coolest videos for more ideas.
Loved watching your worst courses series but this one looks even better. Really excited to see the next episode. An idea for a future one is the Beaufort Club in Beaufort NC
Played Coldwater in Avondale AZ today & it definitely qualifies for worst course. They checked every box! Super slow foursome in front of us & no Marshall. 5 types of weeds on every green, no first cut & no fringe & it was all included at the low price of $76! It wasn’t worth $15.
I played my college golf in the valley and played Dobson Range maybe 8 times. I think they did a remodel. . . . nothing looked familiar. . . but it was 45 years ago. Lol. Love your channel Matt.
I love Orange Tree, We stay there on every visit to AZ and play as much as we can. I'm glad they finally opened the bar back up. The food is really good
I told you to come see me. I have been playing golf at Dobson since 1995. Someday I’ll tell you the story of Lee Trevino playing in the first tee time at Dobson or the day Phil Mickelson came out and played in a pro am at Dobson. I still have the golf bag he signed for me, dated with the date and he also wrote Dobson. Kinda a cool story.
Matt loved the video, BUT, you made one BIG mistake. Where is Dobson Ranch??? You never mentioned where it is other than the desert. Now I live in AZ, so I knew where it was. Hoping in the future you can say what state you are in. Thanks, just an FYI to help your viewers.
Great video. That’s one thing I love about golf, I have met some of my closet friends on a golf course and played with some really good people through the years.
Love the video! I love and miss living in the Phoenix valley. Kilt Lifter's maker Four Peaks has an awesome restaurant in Tempe. Keep up the great work MSG!
Great video. I am heading to Arizona next month and will definitely check it out. Been looking for a lighted driving range for practice after work. Also, I do the exact same thing with writing the names of the other players on my scorecard.
Would it be too much trouble to include state (Arizona), city (Mesa), location (east of Phoenix) - I had to look this up myself (why?). Three reasons why it is a cool golf course, for instance the elevation is 15,000 feet and the ball fly 30% further (I don't know). Best time to play the golf course: season, days of the week, time of day? Some course history and current ownership. Anything else at the golf course besides golf: game room, day care, etc. (you covered a bit of this)? With very little work you can find out these things and it makes for a good video opening and closing, and sets viewer expectations. Thanks.
Great review, looks like an awesome course to play! Matt don't sell yourself short about the intelligence. Ask yourself who gets to fly around the country with their son and play golf!!! You know who I am thinking is the smart one!!! I am with you on the beer not a big IPA fan but will have one in a pinch. Looking forward to more adventures!!!
You have played at Goat Hill before, but you definitely need to go back there and highlight the changes that have happened. One of the best courses in San Diego. Nothing but cool!
This was again a great new start of a series Matt. Enjoyable watch ... and ... Dobson Ranch golf club we ... almost visited with our trip in Arizona last year. (vids on my channel). Cool ... and stay metal dude. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Lagunitas IPA is decent, but you’re in the land of Four Peaks! So glad to see you got a Kilt Lifter! Fantastic beer and you’d be missing out if you skipped it! Great video and good luck in the GG tournament!
WOW! Ron looks like he's been golfing for years. Some just have that natural ability, of course it helps when you haven't already developed bad habits 😁
Sky, your Dad gave you a golden opportunity when he mentioned he was the dumbest guy in the group, maybe next time, Hey Sky, I hope you can appreciate and cherish the time you get with your Dad, life is short, It’s good to see you out there with your Dad! God bless you both👍
"I drilled a hole right on top of my Odyssey putter, then painted it with a little white paint." Man! I've been wanting to do that with my Scotty for over a year, but don't have the guts!
Nice
This is Kevin, awesome meeting you. Thanks for the quick 9 holes and lunch.
This is Jamie. I live clear across the country, and I wasn’t there. But, thanks for the great video. lol
@@jamiesloan7259I felt you with us in spirit Jamie.
Dobson is awesome. Hope to see you out there Ron.
Always love the private club tours but was hoping you'd get around to courses that your average recreational golfer could actually play at a reasonable price. Great video. Looking forward to more!
Dobson is public.
@DM-il1hf Never said it wasn't. Said I love his private club tours but glad he's now doing courses the average golfer can play at a reasonable price. Maybe didn't read that way. Happy fairways!
Your camera man sure has a strong personality
Never tip guy like that
he's rocking his inner "Patrick Cantlay".
I hope this turns into a long series. I love seeing you out with random people. I really enjoyed this video.
Great to see you are covering Public Courses and not just the private ones! Looking forward to seeing more public course videos.
Your mate in the buggy seems a joyful lad lol
Loved the Cookie review and the SWISH.
This video helped my wife and I decide to fly out to Phoenix and play here over the Memorial Day weekend. We’re also going to play TPC championship course. You might want to check out he Walker course at Clemson university. Great course. We live in the Atlanta area and played it this past weekend. Keep up the great content!
I had a golf tournament here and it was so much fun nice to see someone enjoy it to
Great video, Matt!
Malty Toasted Love! I'm the DUMBEST guy here, classic. LOL

Bear Dance Golf Club Colorado! that place is a real treat!
So far love this series! Also love Kilt Lifter beer! Keep up the good work!
Just saw this video Friday AM , found out 2 hours later I have to be in PHX for work the weekend of the WM Tournament … so call Dobson Ranch and playing a round Sat morning - thank for the recommendation. Love the channel.
Ron is impressive given this was his 2nd round of golf, good for you brother!
The cart cam with Sky is akin to a hostage video of sorts lol he looks miserable
😂. just a shy dude
LOLOL. That was the description I was looking for. Spot on.
we need to get him a puppy. Something that will give him unconditional love, no matter how pissed off at the world he is.
Come check out paradise hills golf course in rio Rancho New Mexico! Or come play the famous twin warriors 🎉

Seeing this vid ... I wish we did do Dobson last year. On channel our choices that time. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Love it. And Scott adds a lot with his jovial banter.
Please tell me your referring to Sky (the cameraman) and this is sarcasm. The guy always looks so annoyed to be around Matt lol
Oh, I thought his name was Scott. Matt's humor kills me. He is the chief of sarcasm. I have to get my daily dose of MSG.
lol
Nice swing Ron. For real.
This is my home course live around the corner, new owners have done a great job and they remain affordable. They are known for their junior program. Reave, Homa and other pros can show up any time.

Good to see Dobson Ranch is goin strong... I learned to play there when I took Golf class @ Arizona State. Great course then, still looks great today!
Loved watching your worst courses series but this one looks even better. Really excited to see the next episode. An idea for a future one is the Beaufort Club in Beaufort NC

Played a lot at Dobson Ranch in my ASU days. Great place to play. Similar to Orange Tree
I love Orange Tree, We stay there on every visit to AZ and play as much as we can. I'm glad they finally opened the bar back up. The food is really good

So entertaining! From Scottsdale National to Dobson Ranch. Love it. Coronado Golf Course in San Diego would make for a cool next stop in the series.
Same here. Not a big IPA guy. You have the best opportunities. Love it.
Love me some Mr Shortgame! Fun Video! Keep bringing the content!
About 30 years ago this is where I first learned how to golf. Love Dobson Ranch always been a great course.

Welcome to the AZ, played Dobson all the time when I lived in Scottsdale, need to travel up the I-10 and play it again.
Appreciate the video. Love the good vibes of public courses with good mood meet ups with the random pairing. More videos like this!!!
Excited to see you at the good good tournament !
Love the video! I love and miss living in the Phoenix valley. Kilt Lifter's maker Four Peaks has an awesome restaurant in Tempe. Keep up the great work MSG!

Any course that has Lagunitas on the beer cart is my kind of place.
I personally lean toward L Day Time.
Cool series. Once the weather breaks there's some pretty cool courses here in Cleveland. Especially beautiful Fall scenery at a few.
In may? early Ohio golf is horrible

You should definitely try wigwam here on the west valley, hands down my favorite course

They don't Mesa round! I kill me!
You have played at Goat Hill before, but you definitely need to go back there and highlight the changes that have happened. One of the best courses in San Diego. Nothing but cool!
We need a range like that near Atlanta
This was again a great new start of a series Matt. Enjoyable watch ... and ... Dobson Ranch golf club we ... almost visited with our trip in Arizona last year. (vids on my channel).
Cool ... and stay metal dude. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

Great series Mr SG
Love watching your videos and love your sense of humor! Your cameraman seemed to be having a blast! lol
I hope you tried the shrimp tacos at the 19th hole! Absolutely love the ranch!!!
Good work Matt.
Sky, your Dad gave you a golden opportunity when he mentioned he was the dumbest guy in the group, maybe next time,
Hey Sky, I hope you can appreciate and cherish the time you get with your Dad, life is short,
It’s good to see you out there with your Dad!
God bless you both👍
he doesn't look like someone who appreciate anything.
This is how content should be! Great video
So glad you have to right names and descriptions I do the same exact thing!! 😂🤣😂
You convinced me! I live about 90 minutes away so I’ll plan on a trip there. Great video content
can never get a tee time at this place on the weekends now it’s gonna be impossible. good for the course but terrible for the locals 😢
Your offsider really adds some razzle dazzle to your vids mate😂😂
Great Video. The coolest course in America is "Tobacco Road" in the Pinehurst area!!
Where are you playing next? I would love to be the lucky dude that gets to play a round with you. Live in Scottsdale but will play anywhere. 👍⛳️
Sky has easily become my favorite
Your kid Sky cracks me up. Any time he's on camera it's like your forcing him to be there. LMAO
Love the Vibes. Especially during the cart review portion hahaha.
you should try Mountain Falls in Pahrump Nevada
Loving the content keep it up
Hey Matt
Can't wait for this series
You always put out great videos
I've been watching them ever you were practicing at Encino and Rustic Canyon
Cool course, cool course review.. all cool... Souper cool 😁
Played Dobson Ranch many times back in my baseball days down in AZ. Not a great course, but good memories.
I have never seen anyone so stone faced and as quiet as Sky 😂
A cookie couldn't even make him smile. 😂
Great video Mr. SG!
"I drilled a hole right on top of my Odyssey putter, then painted it with a little white paint." Man! I've been wanting to do that with my Scotty for over a year, but don't have the guts!
Well, I see it will now be harder to get decent tee times or a stall at the driving range at Dobson Ranch. Greetings from Mesa, AZ. 😅
What a great video to enjoy after snowblowing😂 Greetings from Buffalo, don’t forget to order some wings post round.
had a keg of kilt lifter in college.. drank too much of it.. cant do it anymore
Brilliant vijo!!
