3:50 About so many israeli vics being for Nato, there is quite a bit of evidence in the game coding and script notes that suggest Arma 3 was supposed to be about a hypothetical war between Israel and Greece against Turkey/Iran/ME nations, but BI backed out of that just because it was a little too close to being true. keep in mind the game released in 2013, and even today those tensions are running high (Especially Greece and Turkey right now). Had it actually been meant to be Nato I have a feeling we'd be seeing more american/westpac vehicles.

I started really getting into ARMA about a month ago (had the game for like 2 years now) and I've been following Viper's mod lists for a while and I got easily over 112 mods as of this moment, the game gets sluggish xD I get like 20fps when I go MP

I like to run his mod and my mod together, so I have more variation in my vehicles (so it looks like there's multiple units operating), and he has the Mitznefet helmet cover, which I could never figure out.

Viper - BFL is working on a new realism mod that uses ace interaction to add slate/crib cards - there is a mod similar to this but we weren’t fans of the quality so we’ve made our own. Using genuine British Army slates as our templates. I’ll send you a pre-release when it’s ready in the next week or so. Great video as ever!

The AAF 2017 mod is awesome. It has good textures, load outs etc. Great for missions on Altis and Stratis. Living in a Greek island my self it is a very accurate description as to what a local military force would look like. Not anything too big but not useless either. Also the HAF mod is very realistic. They got everything right. I have seen Greek soldiers up close, I have even entered an army base and everything from the uniform to the guns and load outs is spot on.
I love your videos and genuinely love this channel. I really appreciate the work you put into all of these videos and encourage you to keep going! I'd love to see your channel grow as I LOVE arma and want to see the community grow. I have haven't watched more than a minute of the video but to me the fact that you skip RHS and CUP shows that you're putting effort into your videos by not creating quick lists just to make filler videos. I really appreciate the kind words, and glad my efforts to skip the easy kills are being noticed. :) RHS and CUP are phenomenal mods, RHS especially, and deserve all the recognition they get. But a lot of other mods are just as awesome and had a lot of work put into them, so I aim to get them into the spot light as much as I can.
We stopped giving them parts back in the 80s after the coup. Somehow, though, they are still flying them as escorts to Russian bombers. We've sent up interceptors and run into them.

These are some really cool mods, hoping to give a few a try! I recently tried that RHS mod and holy shit, the sound effects for the Abrams were amazing. I couldn't help but think of my first time riding in an M1 and working with them over in the Baltics.
Epic. As I am getting more and more into the game and lore, these are exactly the factions I felt should have been in the vanilla game instead of the once we have, and the vehicles should be what we have now, not 10 years from now. IDF, and Greece vs Turkey and Iran. I may not be from any of these counties, but that's almost a war we *need* to duke out (don't forget Greece and Turkey are still at odds over Cyprus).. almost wish they would have made the map Cyprus and it would be all set for milsimming

As I had a little trying with that, I think I didn't manage to use CCIP on F-4s. Sometimes they were working and sometimes not. I dk why
Wow, again, great job on that video. I really enjoyed it. The balance you found between showing off some mods that do a great job retexturing existing units and showing off ones that just add new stuff to the game was perfect! I also really enjoyed the way you presented the mods with a mixture of factual / important information and your personal thoughts / experiences / anecdotes. I do have one question though: is it just me or does the camerawork seem just a tad bit shakier than in your other videos? I might have just gotten a wrong impression, but it seemed so to me (no hate, just a question / trying to give constructive criticism). Keep up the great work! PS: As a german I am obviously biased but I think you should check out the BW-Mod (Bundeswehr-Mod, german armed forces), as it is one that I use quite often. There are certainly flaws (but hey, wich mod does not have those), but I think it is worth the time. It might be one of those "quite often downloaded" ones though, so I would get it if you said it would not fit in a list such as this one.
I appreciate the feedback! So I tend to get a little shakier when doing ground ops to simulate the chaos of ground warfare; hopefully making the camera look handheld as if someone were there at times. I'm still working on camera movements though. There were times I'd be a little rushed to get footage and that may show through some camera movements as well. Again, I thank you for the time you took to provide feedback on it! I've not used BW Mod yet, so I will download it and give it a try and it may make it on the next list! :)

Paul Nicholson jr Welcome to one of the best gaming experiences you’ll ever have! It’s got its flaws, but it’s an amazing game. I absolutely plan on doing some RHS and CUP reviews, so stay tuned for that! As far as my personal opinion, RHS is the best bang for your download given the shear quantity of quality content. It does a lot of what CUP did but does it better IMO. Now CUP does have things that RHS doesn’t, like the revamped OFP/ARMA 2 maps. Luckily the maps, gear, weapons are all standalone mods and don’t require everything to be downloaded together except for CUP Core.
Viper1Zero if you have any suggestions on how to find a decent group to play with online that would be very much appreciated as well. Eventually my goal is to be able to Zeus but for now I’m just looking for some decent folks to play with while I learn the mechanics and terminology. Either way, thanks for putting the time and effort into these vids and for taking the time to reply.

I'd recommend Jakes's fictional SANDF faction and PetraCephas's Armscor. Sadly the Armscor mod isn't finished and some models like the Ratel isn't finished but before the Western Sahara DLC the Armscor mod was a goto for me because of the Vektor series weapons.
Really liked this top, I'm going to test the Hellenic Armed Forces for sure! I know there are a lot more, but I'd like to do add an honorable mention, the FFAA mod (the Spanish Armed Forces), as is one of my favourites :)

I bought Arma III about a year ago, and although I’ve played (badly) a couple of single player scenarios, I don’t really ‘get’ the whole modding thing. What interested me first, was the Fulda Gap DLC, with ‘80s Warsaw Pact and NATO. You mention that everyone should know about CUP, I don’t really. I’ll do some research on that now, but In the meantime I’d love to hear a few mod lists for specific ‘scenarios’ (in the general sense of the word). For example - I’d like to try a PvE game with US versus IRAN (as you mention) in a limited local conflict. Stuff like that. And how does one setup the Faces of War WWII mods for best use? I usually play historic sim type games like DCS, IL2 (inc tank crew) and - don’t laugh - War Thunder (ok, it’s more a sim-lite) , although I find WT harder and harder to suspend disbelief with - what with attack helicopters fighting Korean War standard armour etc. Still, it looks great and I do like the vehicles. I digress. What would be the best mod lists, in your opinion, to playing/simulating specific situations? For multi and single player, if there’s a difference. I’ll try to find out myself but any suggestions would be welcome. Thx.

Vlad Chitoroaga Ha, I wanted to get that game a long time ago. Then it became a VR demo and the reviews are pretty horrid on it, unfortunately, so I shy’d away thinking it wasn’t worth the price tag.
If you want to overhaul the default Arma factions I would highly recommend using the Aegis mod and Aegis opposing forces but If you don't want to use opposing forces then for csat I would recommend the CSAT modification project

Wow, again, great job on that video. I really enjoyed it.
The balance you found between showing off some mods that do a great job retexturing existing units and showing off ones that just add new stuff to the game was perfect! I also really enjoyed the way you presented the mods with a mixture of factual / important information and your personal thoughts / experiences / anecdotes.
I do have one question though: is it just me or does the camerawork seem just a tad bit shakier than in your other videos? I might have just gotten a wrong impression, but it seemed so to me (no hate, just a question / trying to give constructive criticism).

As a german I am obviously biased but I think you should check out the BW-Mod (Bundeswehr-Mod, german armed forces), as it is one that I use quite often. There are certainly flaws (but hey, wich mod does not have those), but I think it is worth the time. It might be one of those "quite often downloaded" ones though, so I would get it if you said it would not fit in a list such as this one.
I appreciate the feedback! So I tend to get a little shakier when doing ground ops to simulate the chaos of ground warfare; hopefully making the camera look handheld as if someone were there at times. I'm still working on camera movements though. There were times I'd be a little rushed to get footage and that may show through some camera movements as well. Again, I thank you for the time you took to provide feedback on it!
I've not used BW Mod yet, so I will download it and give it a try and it may make it on the next list! :)

Paul Nicholson jr Welcome to one of the best gaming experiences you’ll ever have! It’s got its flaws, but it’s an amazing game. I absolutely plan on doing some RHS and CUP reviews, so stay tuned for that!
As far as my personal opinion, RHS is the best bang for your download given the shear quantity of quality content. It does a lot of what CUP did but does it better IMO. Now CUP does have things that RHS doesn’t, like the revamped OFP/ARMA 2 maps. Luckily the maps, gear, weapons are all standalone mods and don’t require everything to be downloaded together except for CUP Core.
Viper1Zero if you have any suggestions on how to find a decent group to play with online that would be very much appreciated as well. Eventually my goal is to be able to Zeus but for now I’m just looking for some decent folks to play with while I learn the mechanics and terminology. Either way, thanks for putting the time and effort into these vids and for taking the time to reply.

I'd recommend Jakes's fictional SANDF faction and PetraCephas's Armscor. Sadly the Armscor mod isn't finished and some models like the Ratel isn't finished but before the Western Sahara DLC the Armscor mod was a goto for me because of the Vektor series weapons.

I know there are a lot more, but I'd like to do add an honorable mention, the FFAA mod (the Spanish Armed Forces), as is one of my favourites :)
For me, the only decent thing in the FFAA mod is the Iveco Lince, all the other textures sucks. And i’m Spanish.
Bundeswehr mod is a great mod too, maybe you can showcase it?

I bought Arma III about a year ago, and although I’ve played (badly) a couple of single player scenarios, I don’t really ‘get’ the whole modding thing. What interested me first, was the Fulda Gap DLC, with ‘80s Warsaw Pact and NATO. You mention that everyone should know about CUP, I don’t really. I’ll do some research on that now, but In the meantime I’d love to hear a few mod lists for specific ‘scenarios’ (in the general sense of the word). For example - I’d like to try a PvE game with US versus IRAN (as you mention) in a limited local conflict. Stuff like that. And how does one setup the Faces of War WWII mods for best use? I usually play historic sim type games like DCS, IL2 (inc tank crew) and - don’t laugh - War Thunder (ok, it’s more a sim-lite) , although I find WT harder and harder to suspend disbelief with - what with attack helicopters fighting Korean War standard armour etc. Still, it looks great and I do like the vehicles. I digress. What would be the best mod lists, in your opinion, to playing/simulating specific situations? For multi and single player, if there’s a difference. I’ll try to find out myself but any suggestions would be welcome. Thx.

You should check out the Arma 3 Aegis mod if you haven't already. It's a nice face-lift
If you want to overhaul the default Arma factions I would highly recommend using the Aegis mod and Aegis opposing forces but If you don't want to use opposing forces then for csat I would recommend the CSAT modification project
