    This was a very helpful video that you made to test the wastegate off the car. nice job. My wastegate leaks oil.

    What you should really do is remov all the other junk- Alda, overboost protection, egr, etc. then with your fully closed waste gate your diesel will have much more power and be much more fun.

    At the end of video did you find out if that broken thin metal plate at end of wastage needs to be replaced? Mine looks just like yours.

      Hi Luis. I tried getting help from Kent Bergsma at mercedessource.com regarding this plate. He tried to order some but the order came in with the wrong baffle plates. and the manufacturer refused to make him any more at that time. He did not advise me as to whether I could use the turbo with the ruptured wastegate. I was kind of on my own. So, I went to my local tin smith with my old one and he cut me a new one out of thin stainless steel and I put it in. The car operated fine with the new plate. I don't know how it would have operated if I had just put the ruptured plate back in. My guy charged me like $6.
