      Yeah I mean at the 2:03 you can’t see the hop but the ball is behaving as if it just took one. It would seem unthinkable that the umps could have missed that but apparently they did. And also that it wasn’t challenged by Atlanta- if that is challengeable- but the Braves might have been thinking if they did challenge it and got it called as a grounder then the Sox might have been able to get a triple play of their own out of it. Umps were way out in left field. That’s why the Sox ran into their own triple play later because it was reverse psychology. Whacked.

    • @Lookout1000
      @Lookout1000 Год назад +2

      Line drive to 2nd base that is caught. All runners went back to the bag after it was caught, EXCEPT ozzie who started on 3rd base.
      After the bad throw to first, all runners then ran to the next bag (Ozuna -> 1st, Murphy -> 2nd, Olson -> 3rd)
      The umpire crew will never tell players directly that a player didn’t tag up on a base, but the pitcher has the ability to “check” if a runner actually tagged by throwing it to the base before throwing his next pitch
      In this case, since Ozzie didn’t tag up, he was called out on the throw to 3rd. Hence the double play.
      In other words, just think of it as only a runner on 3rd, and a line drive that was caught then thrown to 3rd before the runner could get back

    After their day off yesterday, the Atlanta Braves returned to work last night upon arrival in Boston to go up against the Red Sox. But they ran themselves into major trouble after a 7-1 pounding defeat inside Fenway Park.
    Atlanta scored the only solo run in the first inning, and the Braves didn't go beyond that point during the whole duration of the game. So the Boston Red Sox pretty much have the upper hand, and they didn't let up until the end. So the Braves totally paid the price for completely underestimating Boston, and their overconfidence would be their own downfall.
    So the Braves would have to make up for their first round defeat and find an answer to split up the series before they head back home to Truist Park on Friday. Can the Atlanta Braves recover in time and split the series, or end up getting swept by the Red Sox?
    Find out for yourself by tuning in tonight to see if the Braves can pull off a comeback victory from one of the most iconic and oldest ballparks in America: Fenway Park in Boston!
