In the days of old, purple was the most difficult colour to manufacture for garments/clothing which is why it was set aside for Royalty or the super rich back then. Looks like you ARE the king of amiga repair Chris!

Very generous of them. There are still good people in the world. As an international entertainer, I've been so fortunate to have met many of them.
So, to straighten out those cases, do what I do, and make friends at a machine shop or local manufacturer that have a ton press. Then, have a paint store color match the case under a scope, and a body shop strip and finish them. I've had all kinds of crazy work done, like the five roms on my five AD516s (but that's a story for another day), for a 6 pack of beverage or dinner at a fast food restaurant as payment.

I can relate to that so much, always helping other people and still thinking or actually be convinced I'm not deserving anything at all myself. If there is ever anybody, especially in the Amiga community, that deserves the highest praise it's you Chris.
You must have been devastated by that disaster. Collecting, caressing and loving your collection for years, helping out the community like you do, and then this happens. Unfair. Hope something good comes at you soon!

      Wow thank you
So so much! Like I said in the video I was able to cobble together most of the machines I only lost the 4000 ironically the case that was most destroyed was the one that I just did the video on the curse of Irving and it had my brand new board that I swapped so that is the one that is still dead because I’ve got crushed from the riser board, but I won’t let it get me down we will rebuild

9:30 - Wow; I've heard that sound before. I looked up, and about .1 mile away I see a car bumper flying through the air...
The feeling you get when a tragedy like that happens is indescribable; your heart sinks, blood pressure rises, stop breathing for a few; not good.
Kinda like when I put the bridgeboaard into my A2000, and it wouldn't power on. I've sat it aside for a couple months, and tried to work with emulation, building it back up that way...

Hi Dr. Chris. First of all I want to thank you for all of that great Contend which entertains and educate me and many others out there. Back in the days I owned many Amigas (500 / 1200 / 3000) and absolutely loved them. Unfortunately I lost them all, together with many more 8Bit and 16Bit Machines to a fire. Besides all of the great things I could say about your contend there's one thing that bothers me since day one. Why do you always refer to you as an "idiot" when mentioning that you help people without a charge? This should be the way for all of us and it should be praised and promoted and not be refered to as a bad way of doing things !!! Generosity and helping People should be normal and a GOOD thing and not idiotic. I would love you to promote such behavior with words as much as you do with your deeds. Greetings from Germany Dr. Chris.
