Love the Tina, mine was a 68, series 1 , 1600E, paid £150 for it in 1977 put a 3.0v6 in and drove the heck out of it, sold it in 81 when I left uk.

I've gone into 1/10 scale RC cars instead, takes up even more space lol.
Got a MK1 Range Rover, MK1 Land Rover Defender and MK2 Escort radio controlled cars.
Gonna make a metallic red new MK2 Escort replica!
To be fair I should get another real 1/1 scale project, but my Calibra Turbo 4x4 was such a money pit it's kinda put me off!

I've had quite a bit of retrimming done at NE Trimmers Byker Wall Newcastle Upon Tyne.
I saw my first Mk1 Fiesta in that same colour (I Think) back during that hot summer of 1976.
I have got them if you what to bye the rubber bits 20 pound for two of them mate

Love that Fiesta! My first car was a Bermuda Blue Mk1 Popular (no radio, no heated rear window or wash/wipe, black vinyl seats!)......so that bought back some happy memories from 1988!!

Super rare first year Fiesta. That interior is amazing to have lasted so well - the tops of those houndstooth rear seats used to disintegrate in the sunlight after around 4 years normally.
Looking forward to further updates and it's completion. 👍👍 With the deletion of the Fiesta from Fords range in future years - it's important that some original cars remain standard. The Mk1 Fiesta was a landmark design for Ford.
The interior is defo in good shape for the age. I think Jack was saying the material is available from somewhere too. 👍

I admire this fella everyone wrecks these cars chucking in the stupid engines and that’s ok but not what this car was it really refreshing to see one being restored to its former glory or there abouts it’s gonna be absolutely beautiful especially in that colour.
I remember driving these when they were new brilliant little cars and still one of my favourites.

Congrats to jack on having the correct chambered head crossflow. I think these were only made for a couple of years.
