I would recommend Chlorine trifluoride - "It is, of course, extremely toxic, but that's the least of the problem. It is hypergolic with every known fuel, and so rapidly hypergolic that no ignition delay has ever been measured. It is also hypergolic with such things as cloth, wood, and test engineers, not to mention asbestos, sand, and water-with which it reacts explosively. It can be kept in some of the ordinary structural metals-steel, copper, aluminum, etc.-because of the formation of a thin film of insoluble metal fluoride that protects the bulk of the metal, just as the invisible coat of oxide on aluminum keeps it from burning up in the atmosphere. If, however, this coat is melted or scrubbed off, and has no chance to reform, the operator is confronted with the problem of coping with a metal-fluorine fire. For dealing with this situation, I have always recommended a good pair of running shoes"
Day 2 of asking Spike to add aplha particles when Nihonium decays. Alpha particles will heat up when hit any particle (except NBLE) and turn into NBLE. ALPH has a chance of destroying the particle it hits. ALPH is not affected by DEST and BOMB. ALPH is impossible to destroy (without turning it into NBLE) NBLE with a ctype of ALPH when heated to 2000C will turn into 2 electrons and 1 ALPH. ALPH can set off DEUT by decomposing into 2 neutrons and protons when hitting it (very rare). This might seem long but i like elements with a billion uses. Lead would be a fun element to add. it would have a low melting point, it would also be able to block neut and prot, and it would be created through radioactive decay.
If a more complex recirculation and cooling system for the water is made and special chunks of titanium are added in the middle of the thorium for meltdown prevention then the reactor is perfect

if you plan on continuing to use thorium, try using plutonium and a small amount of thorium to see if you have better results. also, if you do this make sure to have a safety measure (meltable cork) fail safe to ensure the thorium is sent away from the catalyst stopping the reaction. thorium is the future! love the video!!! :)

Thorium is a non-fissile, “fertile”, slightly radioactive element. Being non-fissile, it cannot be split to create a nuclear chain reaction, so it must be bred through nuclear reactors to produce fissile uranium. Thorium enjoys several advantages over uranium. First, the risk of nuclear proliferation of thorium is less than that of uranium. This comes mostly from the fact that plutonium, an essential ingredient of nuclear weapons, is not produced in thorium reactors. Thorium fuel cycle would also minimise toxicity and decay heat problems associated with current reactors. Secondly, in the event of a runaway chain reaction, uranium-based reactors have the potential to become supercritical and get out of control, thereby causing a catastrophic accident. Since thorium reactors would operate sub-critically, runaway chain reactions that cause nuclear meltdowns would not occur.
