fluorine would be awesome to add. basically just sets anything on fire including water and turning the water to acid after it burns.

I would recommend Chlorine trifluoride - "It is, of course, extremely toxic, but that's the least of the problem. It is hypergolic with every known fuel, and so rapidly hypergolic that no ignition delay has ever been measured. It is also hypergolic with such things as cloth, wood, and test engineers, not to mention asbestos, sand, and water-with which it reacts explosively. It can be kept in some of the ordinary structural metals-steel, copper, aluminum, etc.-because of the formation of a thin film of insoluble metal fluoride that protects the bulk of the metal, just as the invisible coat of oxide on aluminum keeps it from burning up in the atmosphere. If, however, this coat is melted or scrubbed off, and has no chance to reform, the operator is confronted with the problem of coping with a metal-fluorine fire. For dealing with this situation, I have always recommended a good pair of running shoes"

Day 2 of asking Spike to add aplha particles when Nihonium decays. Alpha particles will heat up when hit any particle (except NBLE) and turn into NBLE. ALPH has a chance of destroying the particle it hits. ALPH is not affected by DEST and BOMB. ALPH is impossible to destroy (without turning it into NBLE) NBLE with a ctype of ALPH when heated to 2000C will turn into 2 electrons and 1 ALPH. ALPH can set off DEUT by decomposing into 2 neutrons and protons when hitting it (very rare). This might seem long but i like elements with a billion uses. ALPH should naturally appear from PLUT(slowly) and NIH(replace NEUT with ALPH).

if you plan on continuing to use thorium, try using plutonium and a small amount of thorium to see if you have better results. also, if you do this make sure to have a safety measure (meltable cork) fail safe to ensure the thorium is sent away from the catalyst stopping the reaction. thorium is the future! love the video!!! :)

    Why thorium is not runaway

    • @pewds6910
      @pewds6910 3 года назад +1

Thorium is a non-fissile, “fertile”, slightly radioactive element. Being non-fissile, it cannot be split to create a nuclear chain reaction, so it must be bred through nuclear reactors to produce fissile uranium.
Thorium enjoys several advantages over uranium. First, the risk of nuclear proliferation of thorium is less than that of uranium. This comes mostly from the fact that plutonium, an essential ingredient of nuclear weapons, is not produced in thorium reactors. Thorium fuel cycle would also minimise toxicity and decay heat problems associated with current reactors.
Secondly, in the event of a runaway chain reaction, uranium-based reactors have the potential to become supercritical and get out of control, thereby causing a catastrophic accident. Since thorium reactors would operate sub-critically, runaway chain reactions that cause nuclear meltdowns would not occur.

    9 element suggestions
1: Technetium (Melting point: 2204 C, Boiling point: 4265 C) Slivery white metal, radioactive (Gamma emitter)
2: Barium (Melting point: 729 C, Boiling point: 1805 C) Radiation blocker (neutrons, electrons and photons) sliver - white colored metal
3: Promethium (Melting point: 1042 C, Boiling point: 3000 C) Radioactive metal, made by irradiated neodymium (neutrons, protons, alpha particles [helium nuclei])
4: Spikium - blackish blue metal that absorbs energy particles above 100 C or 30 pressure, melts at 1880 C, boils at 8000, removes spark from nearby materials (constantly sets life or tmp value to 4).
5: Y Matter (Melting point: -64 C, Boiling point: 2865 C) light blueish purple liquid that upon contact with antimatter (realistic or vanilla) will produce 4000 C photons & neutrons along with adding 2 pressure per annihilation.
6: Vooperium - blue gray metal powder that solidifies under extremes of temperature or pressure (>25 pressure or >200 C), melts at 5600, boils at 7500, absorbs neutrons.
7: P Matter (Melting point: 1564 C, Boiling point: 5865 C) grayish blue powder that produces neutrons under pressure, and heats up by ~22 C if hit by neutrons, emits protons when hit by 3200 C photons and heat up by 120 C
8: Solidified Anti Higgs boson - nullifies gravity fields, gravitons are turned into neutrons, photons, and electrons at 6000 C, unmeltable, breaks at -170 pressure.
9: Extreme Temperature Coolant Fluid (ETCF) - melts at -230 C, boils at 8978 C, very good conductor of heat and electricity, under extreme pressure the boiling point rises to 9500 C and melting point to 230 C, and for negative pressure (melting point: -271.15 C, boiling point: 100 C).
    Keep doing you spike.

It's more like a accidental safeguard; the reactor CAN melt, it just... Takes a heck ton of time and neutrons. In real life, the shield would be kind of suboptimal. Sure, it prevents a meltdown, but then they have to shut it down again and cool it down if they want to scoop/scrape it out. Not to mention it would _probably_ just alloy up with the thorium, to be honest. But hey. At least it isn't COMPLETELY melting down!
