I've enjoyed eating solo for many years now and it's become much less unusual now than it was when I first started. I love meals out with friends but if it's a choice between going alone or not going at all, I'll always go solo - more and more restaurants appreciate it too as your attention is completely on the food and the best ones have engaging staff who can talk about their favourites and all the nuances you found. Enjoying your own company is a very healthy trait!
