I love this special because it is precisely this period in her life that I have always been the most curious about; exactly who was she when she made The Bodyguard. That movie was peak Whitney Houston. No human being would ever look and sound that good ever in life. I've always wondered if she knew this, or had a sense of how big this moment would be for her.
The woman was absolutely STUNNING. In the first few seconds of the “All the Man That I Need” performance, she looked radiant. A comment once described her as “terrifyingly beautiful” and I really think that captures it perfectly.
Somebody blocked me because I said I hadn’t watched the Whitney movie and after watching the clip they posted I simply said that listening to this persons voice I wasn’t inspired to do so because “Whitney’s speaking voice was as beautiful as her singing voice and this voice just isn’t doing it” lol I don’t expect anyone to sound exactly like her but it was not even close. And I mean that anyone who knows anything about Whitney Houston knows that her voice whether sing or speaking would catch and hold your attention.
You have the best footage/rare videos, interviews , content period! As a super fan who was born in 96 and lost her 2012, I missed the bulk of her career/artist development,& all around growth as an artist and in life. So I greatly appreciate you posting the content that you do. Give me a chance to be apart of a time I missed 😊❤
I was privileged to see Whitney in her prime, I think shortly after The Bodyguard was released. What I LOVED the most was first, of course, 😮HER VOICE, but secondly it was the metamorphosis from the stand still singer she started out being to the DANCING routines that she incorporated into her act, which was her response to the criticisms that she needed to UP her performance game. Myself and my date that night, both ‘singers’ we thought we were, and BOTH of us were stunned to silence with the mammoth ENERGY that she emitted from that stage, like WHY even TRY to exist in her universe as a so called singer?!? And I STILL feel that way...BUT, now that we know EVERYTHING that she went through and what the difficulties were that she faced to BE that. Folk have no idea of the amount of respect we should pay to THAT journey and the pressures that lie in the seams to maintain and exist in that sphere… She said to Oprah on the precipice of her so called ‘come back’ that she has SEEN and DONE and BEEN EVERYWHERE that she could have dreamed to see, do and be in this world. In other words, like Prince, she SAID, she was DONE: she’d DONE IT, as gifted by God Himself and there were no more mountains to climb, nothing left to conquer or prove. All said, I just STILL pray her REST with Jesus, whom she ADORED. RIP FOREVER, Nippy♥️
This "I love it" passion and innocence of Whitney was gone the minute Bobby Brown impregnated Whitney. I hope she was truly happy at times after this time.
Waaw❗ I saw most of this special (pieces here and there) years ago, but never the entire show. This is a real pre-X-mas treat!🤩 Whitney's performances of *This Day* and The Greatest Love Of All are so epic, heartfelt, great and beautiful. ✨ *Whitney Elizabeth Houston's live performances show us all why she is rightfully called THE VOICE* ✨
I love this channel more than I can say, I’ve idolized this woman my entire life as a singer myself and as a good person and seeing things like this make it so fulfilling . Also I never realized how much Whitney and her brother Michael favored, and some of her mannerisms were similar to her father’s.
I watched this on tv.❤❤❤❤I have loved Whitney before The Bodyguard...I saw her for the first time on The Merv Griffin Show.I knew of Cissy Houston because of my wonderful mother she only played gospel music. ❤❤❤❤My man said one bad relationship or getting with the wrong mate can alter you life your path sending you the wrong way. Whitney was destined for greatness she was given to us to bring us together and when she was broken she returned to our father. I truly miss her so much and wish she was still here. People that didnt wish her well started to come in her life and thats were her down fall started in slow motion. I wish she stayed to herself because she was better off. Sometimes you think people are for you but they are actually really secretly jealous. I have tears in my eyes,I love Whitney.Who can just wake up in the morning and sing so great,Whitney. She could sing anything ❤❤❤ Sing Whitney,😢😢😢She always has the best nack up singers. When I heard her say I miss my Bobby,I didnt want her to marry him.
@ I’ve noticed your content on multiple pages, including the official WH account, which is exactly why I made that comment. Oftentimes, if credit is given, it’s directed to the wrong account. I can imagine how frustrating that must be, especially considering how hard you work to obtain these incredible content. Please know that your efforts are deeply appreciated and don’t go unnoticed ❤️
@@mhayahkhoramey1305 Yes the official WH account give credit to a bobby&whitney page on instagram... Yes we do work very hard to obtain this content and i feel like people think our content falls from the sky lol But thank you very much! It is because of people like you that we are persistent and continue our hard work. Thank you for your love and support! NBL for you!
Haha wow!!!! That story about her mom making her beat up the bully??? 100% same thing my mom made me do with my bully. I’m forever thankful. That moment taught me to stand up for myself till this day.
Sarebbe stata una cosa carina se fosse stato attivo il traduttore (sottotitoli) così , anche chi non capisce la vostra lingua ma ama whitney , avrebbe potuto capire qualcosa …
Good concert but her voice was not the best in the live concert. But when singing at 31:37 and Greatest Love of All. That's the Whitney I know. Perfection. And then 10 years later it all tail spin out of control. So sad.
I Cannot Find Whitney First Debut Greatest Love Tour . The show called The Greatest Love Tour from 1986 is . nowhere to Be Found.. Can someone Post it Please. This was Her first Tour when she was a New Artist for her First Album in 1986

agreed! I’d pay an arm and a leg just to see rare or bts footage of her in this era lol
The Bodyguard era is what shot Whitney into the stratosphere. A rare bright star that comes around once in a lifetime.
Watch out for me
Wow, the beginning walk through entrance was ethereal. She was radiating beauty. Looks, voice, personality, & all ✨.
Most BEAUTIFUL talent ❤ in a class by herself 🎉🎉🎉 R.I.P 💐
We don't have any natural soulful all around performers anymore. Back then you had to know how to SANG!!! All you needed was a mic and a light🎤💖
The woman was absolutely STUNNING. In the first few seconds of the “All the Man That I Need” performance, she looked radiant. A comment once described her as “terrifyingly beautiful” and I really think that captures it perfectly.
I thought I saw all things WH but then this comes out! The greatest voice of all! 💜
Wish the world had shown its appreciation towards her more in the years before her death.
5:50 ONE THING ABOUT THE WORLD; IT WILL "LOVE" YOU ONE MOMENT, AND CRUCIFY YOU THE NEXT!!!!! POINT BLANK!!!!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Whitney's speaking voice is angelic

@rhomeNmpire lmbo. People are nuts! I couldn't take the movie seriously because the actor looked like Brandy 🤣😂
@ Facts🎯 I didn’t even get into that but you are absolutely right she definitely would have made a better Brandy
She spoke like a white woman.
I was able to see Whitney live in concert 3 times. Amazing she was.
Whitney sitting and delivering This Day was phenomenal ❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is the best rendition of this song I ever heard❤🎉
As much as she gave us to celebrate,
she also left us to mourn.
God Bless Whitney Houston, in her soul's perpetual evolution.
A maior cantora que já passou por esse planeta.
The gospel song at 31:34 made this grown man weep... Whitney will always be in my life!

@@Renegooden born in 98 and I can totally relate
The 80s were definitely some of her classic songs but the 90s was just next level. As soon as The Bodyguard came out, it was over.
Whitney was incredibly beautiful ❤ Thank you for this gem

The background singers are the business - strong clear voices.
Great post!! I had this on VHS when it first came on.

❤ i always wished 1) she'd wear long hair 2) sung like the record. And that mother is Rotten about 😢 parents today & the reason for global child crime
For a second can we get into a movie being $7 dollars 😮😂
She was her father’s daughter.
What year was this recorded? 🎥🎤
9:17 F5 and it was good!! 9:32
Multiple F5s back to back in ‘So Emotional’. Many went sharp up to F#5s.
@ Yes
will you ever reupload One Moment In Time?
witch one of them?
@ 20/20 The life of whitney houston
I think that her peak during the Bodyguard was also bc she was sober since she was pregnant and the voice was clean of everything nasty
Who is this blonde? 12:11

Correct me if I am wrong, but the special aired in March 1992, and the performances were filmed in September 1991?
Yes the performances are from 1991 and the special aired in May 6, 1992
I think it was an ABC special...
