I left my sawmill property because of extreme heat and high wildfire danger. This is my first time at my coast forest land this year. I am hoping there are no new disasters there this year like there was last year. Last year I had a bunch of large trees blow down because the timber company next to me clearcut their land. I spent last summer cutting those trees into firewood. Today I check the property for more disasters, cut some blackberries with my electric battery powered chainsaw. I also talk about my off grid electricity plans. I am testing some Wattcycle LiFePo4 batteries to use with solar panels.

Promote all the products you want. I enjoy the things you demonstrate with your sawmill and chainsaw. Equally enjoyable are the walks you take as you narrate your way through the properties. Thank you for what you do!

    I got a great idea.
Make that fence fold to the ground via a remote in your truck.
You can play the theme music from the old Batman TV series as you’re driving in!
    Huh?
    Pretty good huh? 😂

Re a cooler: You have a clear flowing spring. Convert a large cooler into a spring box, by feeding your spring in the bottom drain, and up and out of a drain a bit below the shelf racks in the cooler. My Grandparentsused spring boxes for decades, before the electric got to the wrench. If you want to improve the spring box, run the spring through a heater core from a car or truck. The heater core is designed as a water to air heat exchanger.

Time to build a small cabin and set it up with the basics so you can come and go as you please. That is a neat little piece of paradise.

We had over 6" of rain in about a 12 hour period over the winter. It washed out a ton of roads, rivers flooded and evena small town near the river flooded. Other than that storm it was a pretty average winter

100watt solar panel, 12 volt charger for each battery is what I use. You know who has them at a nice price for complete solar charging kits. Fun show as always.

I upgraded my main bike to a SHORAI lithium iron phosphate battery about 8 years ago and have no regrets. They are much lighter and work great. CHEERS!

Salmonberry isn't a sweet, dessert berry. It's good in savory sauces, things like that. It's an interesting replacement for tomatoes, so I can recommend giving that a try.

Lead is dead except when you need high cranking amps. I have replaced my deep cycle lead batteries with lithium iron phosphate batteries. Golf cart style lead acid batteries aren't much cheaper than lithium iron phosphate batteries and require careful maintenance.

WattCycle reviews look pretty good! Great price, so I may get one. Good to see you getting some use out of that stuff Mr. Wilson. That’s quite an upgrade in battery capacity over my little Jackery 240! I have a nice little “waterproof” 400W solar controller you can use to charge those new batteries, if you need one too. Maybe put your 100W and my 120W panels in parallel for more charge capacity?

I am curious how those LifePo4 batteries will work at for you. You as a RUclipsr are a working man first who actually puts such products to use in working conditions and thinks of such later on. As oppose to, say, influencers or jabronis getting stuff and preaching them without rigorusly testing them or deciding to speak about them honestly. I almost want to get my father an electric chainsaw to just bypass the issues of starting his 2 stroke mix Echo chainsaw and just save time and I'm wondering how much juice the battery goes through when you knock down a small tree.

I do understand wanting a cold beer,, but you have the spring for that. Might I suggest,, you do not need a cooler. Buy what is fresh and will last for a week or two (not raspberries) and outfit with non refrigerated items. I do it camping all the time,, I go 4 to 6 weeks without a cooler. Now,, I will say one of the first things when I re-enter civilization,, a cold beer and a good burger. Think about not using a fridge. My sister,, with her travel RV now uses Starlink,, works great. The newest batches of satellites will support cell service,, how long before that is universal,, no idea.
