Today I’m traveling through upcountry and Kula in Maui, showing off some of the beautiful locations in Kula you need to see, good places for photos in Maui, destinations to visit, food to try in Kula and of course, the best place to see the sunset in Maui. I’ve got you covered with all the travel tips to make your first trip to Maui, Hawaii your best!
Kula is a district located in the upcountry of Maui, and it is known for its farms and botanical gardens. It resides on the slopes of Mount Haleakala and is the best place to go to try the exotic produce grown right in that area. If you’ve never been to #Hawaii, I’d highly recommend visiting Maui and the district of Kula as well as the Upcountry area. I’ve got plenty more videos coming on Maui, so stay tuned and make sure to subscribe!

I love upcountry. ❤Kula forever
I loved the up country as well. Thanks so much for watching again.
Aloha! Thank you Kim! Sunset maybe a good alternative to sunrise with a husband who does not want to early...haha! Mahalo!
I’m so glad you chose sunset. Like your husband, I am not a morning person either :-)
Love this one Kim!
Thank you so much! You are the best!
Fantastic vlog, headed there in October and this really helped for my Up Country itinerary!! Thank you!!!

Wow! Another great video!!!
Thank you so much! So appreciate it.
Thank you Kim for this video. In fact Inreally enjoy all the videos that you made for Hawaii. It gave me ideas for a visit to the upcountry. How long before the sunset did you get to Haleakala park ? And did you start your day early for the rest of your visits. Just to know at what time we would have to leave from Kihei to visit the farms and be early enough to get some parking for the sunset. Thank you for your answer! 🙏
So glad you enjoyed the video. I went up to Haleakala an hour to 1.5hr before sunset. The parking lot does get full, and you want to be there early. Make sure to bring warm clothes, as it gets really really cold up there.
Thank you. I had already planned to bring warm clothes. Being from Canada, we know about cold weather! 😃. Thank you for the time frame. It will come very handy! Have a nice day.
I love your videos. How long did you stay in Maui?
I stayed in Maui for a week and then went onto Oahu. It was a wonderful island. Thanks for watching the video.
thank you Kim! I love your videos. one question: How long did it take you to get down the mountain after sunset? We are seeing the crater on our last day and then heading to the airport. 10:30pm flight. Thank you!
I think it took about 1-1.5hr to get down the mountain and back to Kihei. Thanks for watching, and please subscribe to the channel.
Since you stayed in Kihei, would you suggest going to Maui Wine first and back track or make that last stop thru Upcountry before heading back?
(No Haleakala)
I recommend Maui Distillery and Surfing Goat Dairy first....I traveled back and forth because of my scheduling.
hi very informative video....did u happen to do the sunrise at haleakala? thank you
I saw sunset at Haleakala which was amazing! Thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe.
@@TheAbundantTraveler Is it cold up there during sunset also ? Do we need to wear jackets?
I’m curious about monetary exchanges there. You said a lot of places don’t accept credit cards? Are they most receptive to cash or debit cards?
I had no trouble paying with credit card and cash.
@@TheAbundantTraveler Good to hear! I must’ve misheard what was stated in the video.
I sure wish people would show where they are on a map.
Thanks for the suggestion. And thanks for watching the video.
Maui is an Island. You are not in it. You are ON it. Unless you are in a cave!
